I keep getting calls every single day from the above number. They tell us that they are calling regarding my computer. They say there is something wrong with my windows. This is a scam and they don't want to accept the fact that we will not fall for it. Sometimes when they call our caller ID shows just a "1" or "Private Caller".

Received a call from 584-236-4723.  I received a call at 9:45 am today from a guy with a very thick Indian accent stating he was from Microsoft Windows Tech Support and he needed me to log in to my computer.  I told him I was already logged in and I didn't contact anyone from Microsoft for assistance.  He told me it's not a problem he just wanted to help me with something on my computer.  I asked for his name and he said it was John Thomas (pretty sure that wasn't true).  I let him know I didn't need his assistance, he said ok and we both hung up.  I haven't received a call back from this number so far.  My phone number is on the Do Not Call list as well.

Answered and waited for a response, they hung up. 9:13 AM.

The call came in at 6:55 a.m. and again around 11:30.  The smartest thing I have ever done is to have an answering machine and then to have called ID.  I also keep a log of all phone calls and check to see how many times the same phone number has called.  This keeps one from becoming vulnerable to these types of bogus phone calls.

Claimed to be from the Windows technical department.  I hung up.

They called me this morning at 8 am. Said they were with Windows Tech Support. I told they I was a retired Fraud Mgr and they ended the call by hanging up. The phone number which showed up is spoofed caller id.  This type of calling is a practice known as "caller ID spoofing," callers can deliberately falsify the telephone number and/or name relayed as the Caller ID information to disguise the identity of the calling party. This is a Scam.

Called at 6:21am this morning. Thank goodness I did not answer phone.

Called very early at 5:58 am. No one spoke when we answered.

7 AM October 9, 1015.  Caller asked how I was and I said, "This is pretty early" and he said it was important to call to let me know my computer had been compromised and he asked me to turn on my computer.  I said, "You've got to be kidding.  You want me to get out of bed and go turn on my computer?  Forget it!"  And I hung up.

Got a call from this number stating they are from microsoft security and they need to walk me thru some steps. I played along until the guy asked if i was joking with my fake answers. I asked him what was he doing and that he should get a real job or do something even more fun like killing himself.

Call came in at 8:17 a.m., said hello, obviously a call center could hear conversations in the back ground, said hello again, a man answered, I believe an Indian accent (not native American) and said he was from windows tech support, my only comment was, " Sure you are, good bye".

Basically same as above, calls all hours of the day.

Said nothing upon answering.  Woke us up

Scammers trying to you to place malware on your computer. If I have time I waste theirs. Blocking these crooks doesn't work. I figure if I waste enough of their time they will put me on their " do not call list'  Probably wishful thinking but sometimes it's fun messing with these idiots.

They have called twice, I have never picked up. Glad I read this....now I KNOW to avoid this caller.  Thanks.

Two calls this morning - one at 6:45am and the other about 9:30am.  I didn't answer either call.
One call yesterday saying they were with Microsoft Windows and our computer had been hacked.  They refused to say if they were actually with Microsoft, I hung up.

Called 6:30 am and said they were from Microsoft. Gave them hell for calling so early and hung up.

Called 3 times beginning at 5:58AM - claiming to be from technical support  584-236-4723
