Oh, the harrassers are using a new spoof number - another in an endless line of idiots that call up folks on the National Do Not Call List. Yay

just called no ID just the number.     And unsolicited !    So of course did not pickup :)

Got a call from this number. A guy asking me to donate to firefighters because they are supporting muscular dystrophy. i refused to donate because it sounded like scam to me...

They will call and call about selling you a really good deal on a 6 mo. subscript. to the Calgary Herald (CH). It's a nuisance - we had subscribed for about 2 years but cancelled earlier this year because CH would no longer negotiate a lower price.  I had to watch my credit card statements (auto-pay) as CH would raise the price every 4 months without notice and then I had to call and ask them to give me a better rate, which they usually did.  Shortly after I cancelled, the telemarketer began calling incessantly. Even when I told them not to call and why, they still do.  Put them on call block if you can.  Also, be cautious, if you do subscribe and use the auto-pay by credit card, watch your statements closely as the CH will increase the price without notice.

call display the phone number only. why not show company name if you want to promote or sell something.

Calling to sell Calgary Herald subscriptions. I told her no thanks, she proceeded to ask if there was anyone else in my household who would be interested in "this amazing offer", I told her she had not contacted a household but a professional office. She continued to try and sell instead of apologizing.

This may have a local number but as soon as I answered the phone I could hear a call centre in the background. Annoying. Just hang up if they call you.

I got a call from this number on Friday evening December 6, 2017 at 5pm MT. What I suspect is that the caller knows you and wants to call you without using a phone number that can be identified and who knows that you do not answer private number. There are several numbers like that I realise are out there. I received that call after avoiding several other calls I was suspicious about.

Received a call from this number today. March 7, 2017. I said hello and there was a male voice who said Hello? Hello? And hung up.
I returned the call and it was a local edmonton number as I didn't have to dial 1. And it put me to an automated system for some sort of curling club. Definitely didn't sound legit. I'm call8ng it a scammer
