23aug09 -- I received a phone call from 16014299005 at 8pm pst last night (22aug09) while my phone was off.  The message had no voice speaking, but the sound of ocean/beach waves was loud and constant.

Just got a call from this number, I ignored it since I did not know who it was.  I thought they left me a voicemail but it was about 30s of silence.

i use a service called InternetCalls whice is a free VoIP service and that is the called id # i got when i called myself so there are probably people abusing this free service

Three calls on September 1, 2009.   Approx every two hours.  Noone there. No message. My return call gets a message that says it is not in service.

I got this same call. After a little research I discovered that it was a dysfunctional customer service rep from MagicJack. Which would make sense since I just cancelled my subscription. I left a negative feedback response on a customer service survey, as they were not even willing to give me the address or phone number to MagicJack's head quarters. 5 minutes later I received a threatening email from this rep, full of profanity and personal threats. This is a scam that is conducted by many customer service reps and other people that have access to your information through a call center environment. Most customer service reps are nothing more than a 3rd party call center, employing an otherwise un-employable 19 year old drug addict,  with access to your personal info. Don't ever think that your info is only housed by companies that you give that information to. I hope this helps

Received two calls (so far) at 11:30 PM on a Tuesday night from some guy who didn't seem to speak English.

Got a couple of calls from 601-429-9005. Nobody spoke both the time but I could hear someone breathing on the other side. Thanks a lot for posting your comments. Its very helpful. I know now what to do with this number next time I get a call.

A guy keeps calling asking about my medications

Got a call from this number at 10:30pm.  An African sounding man said he was calling from Greece and wanted the production manager.  I said what company are you trying to call.  He said your company.  I said what is the name of my company.  He couldn't name it and hung up.  These people are fools but I know there are naive people out there or these people would not be in business.

I answered it several times. For me a woman, in Spanish with LOTS of background noise, kept saying "Hola" like she couldn't hear me, asking for Rodrigo. I kept telling her I don't speak English and mentioned the police a few times. That got her to hang up. Then I got a translation to say, "You have the wrong #" in Spanish. I heard her tell someone I don't speak Spanish and she hung up, after I DID speak in Spanish. Of course calling it back and reverse phone search were as useless as to the rest of you guys.

Got a call from that  on 9/16/09 around 6:30PM  didn't answer. If don't know the number I don't answer and I am glad I didn't.

1-605-429-9005 has called me twice with in the last 3 minutes. the number is diconnected. another fraud at work.

Got a call to my cell phone from this number.  Started into a scam abotu my debit card needign to be reactivated.  

SCAM!

Got a call from same number on 9/20/2009 at 4:55pm, no answer from person(s) when I answered. Says Name Unknown. Looks like same as the others.

Received call at 12:25pm EST. When i answered it was silent over the phone for 2 seconds then the connection disconnected. Putting this number on my blocked calls!!

Folk, this seems to be the caller ID, or at least one of the caller IDs, displayed when someone calls someone else using yahoo messenger phone out service. Anyway, that's the number that gets displayed on my mobile phone when I called myself using yahoo messenger (601-429-9005). A yahoo messenger user who did not purchase a phone number from yahoo will always broadcast either this caller id (601-429-9005), 'Unknown', or another weird caller id (such as 000-000-1234) etc. Needless to say, calling back this number is of no avail since it belongs to no one in particular. Hope this helps.

You are correct my friend. I have a friend in Spain, who calls me through the internet and the numbers that shows is that one.
