Very shady, said they are from Arizona IRS

With an iPhone and I’m sure other phones and/or a computer you can change the number you are calling from. i.e. Ghosting a number

Caller ID read ARIZONA CALL (number appeared on Call Log).  Picked up and heard recording in Spanish.

When I answered the phone, I was asked who she was calling. I asked her whom was she trying to call. She answered that she had a wrong number. My caller iD read Az State Govt. I'm sure she was not from the government!

I received a call from this number ‭ (602) 542-0000‬ with a message left on my voicemail a woman voice states

I called the number back

“Thank you for call the state of Arizona this phone is not monitor one of our agencies were trying to contact you call the agency trying to contact you”

Got a call from this number but i didn't answer it &they didn't leave a message. I dont think it was legit because otherwise they would have left a voicemail for me. Upon trying 2 call this number back it just told me that it was a govt number and then hung up.

I just got a voice mail from them as well and yes, this is the AZ DES Unemployment Office. Thanks for posting this because otherwise I may not have called them back.

Extremely rude caller, purported to be from ADOT

The number that shows up on caller ID can be spoofed, so don't be fooled by that. And since when does government cold call people? If the call was legit, then they have the wrong number because there is no reason they should be calling me.

This number +1 (602) 542-0000 more than twice and stated that they’re are calling from Arizona state revenue to call them back on another 602 number. It’s very suspicious

They left a message saying they are from Az Department of Revenue and let other phone number 602-542-1048 to call them back. Message was left on English and Spanish.

Have received a call from this number twice asking to call back another number, which is 602-542-1048. I called the 1048 number and it starts out sounding like it could be legit, but then states if you're calling about a personal refund press this, if it's for business press this. Considering they called me and anything to do with a refund, audit, etc will absolutely be in writing (I was audited) doesn't make sense. I don't have any other dealings with the AZDOR, so there would be no reason to press any number. Also...they called me. Once I didn't press either 1 or 2 it just hung up on me. I would think that if the AZDOR wanted to really talk to me, they would have put me on a hold for someone to redirect my call.

They called and left the typical voice message saying they are from AZ Department of Revenue and let other phone number 602-542-1048 to call them back.  Why these scammers keep operating with the same phone numbers for such a long time? Why hasn't the police tracked them down?

I returned the call and spoke to someone -- they could not figure out why the call -- but the 602-542-0000 referred another 602-542 prefix number -- and it seems to be real.
