This is one of those collections agencies trying to collect on old debts that have been paid off - usually a PayDay Loan.   Mine were paid off years ago, but lately I've been getting phone calls that I still owe and if I don't pay they are going to charge me in my County with worthless check charges and come and arrest me at my job if they need to.

Got one too. Gave me 2 hours to pay by wire funds. A payday loan paid off 2 years ago is what it was about. Can find no information on them at all except the womans name Melanie Collins. The law firm the said they were with WWCI wineburge, wineburge and collins.

Looks like this site is making it tough for you to extort money on the phone ... GLAD TO HEAR IT!

I paid off my old payday loan and not only was i threatened but so was my fiancee...I called the person back and told then guess what I have a pain in full letter in my hand as we speak and was told I should have fun riding in the back of a squad car!! I almost fell over laughing because for one the state I live in does not prosecute pay day loans and for two I no longer reside in the state and the state I live in does not transport for something like that, not to mention the guy and girl who called claimed to be calling from the state atty's office and that is most definitely fraudulent misrepresentation!  I also will add that even if it was an offense that could be taken up in criminal court, I have a valid receipt that the debt was paid in full! I hope these people get in trouble for what they do and anyone who gets a call from the should report it!!!
