This university calls me five times a day like clockwork. Whether I answer on the first ring or later, there has never once been anyone on the line. I called them and asked to be removed from the list, but they still call. I have filled out FCC Complaint Form 1088G as the last resort to make it stop.

I attend this school online, it's an excellent school and they've never pestered me. I have a hard time believing they just call and call and call. Whatever. I looked this number up because its different than the OneStop or advisors lines they usually call from, so didn't recognize it. I had a call in to them today about some advising issues to prepare for grad school next, they never just call for no reason at all.

My point is, just call them and tell them you aren't interested...you obviously expressed interest at some point so quit griping and just let them know you changed your mind. Don't bash a legit school. Geez.

It's SNHU and I did fill out the form online for more information. I filled out the form yesterday evening and today they have called me 3 times, each time not leaving a voicemail. I'm curious to see how long they will call without leaving a message. They are calling me on a number that I cannot actually answer, it is for messages only, so they have no choice but to leave a message so they can give me the information I need to call them back.

I have just transferred from UofP to SNHU. I haven't started classes yet but they are more helpful and friendly. I didn't have a problem getting UofP to release my transcripts. I was sick on a LOA and next thing I know, I was dropped. No warning that I no longer attended school there. I never received anything in the mail either. UofP is a ripoff and I would never recommend them to anyone. I can't wait to see how it goes at SNHU!! Good Luck!

A legitimate college doesn't call people like a for-profit telemarketer.  A real school wouldn't waste the resources to harass potential students.  You can tell yourself whatever you like, but this is a diploma mill just like University of Phoenix.  Seriously, if I had two equally matched candidates, the difference being a "degree" from one of these scam schools, I'd go with the one who has no degree at all.  The only thing a diploma from SNHU says about you is that you're a lazy sucker.

Why would they pester you?  You've already been suckered into giving them your money for a useless degree.  That's okay though, the world needs stupid people like you too.

Kaplan isn't a rip off. They're actually an excellent school. I got my Bachelor's from them and my friend got her Master's. However, you are correct about Phoenix. I know a few people who got ripped off by them.

    Annoyed!
They keep calling for my mother. They have called four times today alone. I have an infant and every time the phone rings it wakes him up!

    I blocked the number finally.

Talk about stupid. If she wasn't home a half an hour ago...what makes you think that later, constitutes a half hour?! Stupid.

I made the mistake of requesting information from SNHU regarding one of their degree programs when I was trying to decide which college to attend.
The two other colleges in Portsmouth both got back to me promptly via e-mail and provided me with all of the information that I needed to know about their degree programs.
Southern NH University e-mailed me weeks later saying that they needed to speak to me to answer questions that I might have about their degree program.
I told them that I was no longer interested and have requested that they do not contact me again, yet almost 3 months later they continue to call 3-8 times a day everyday.

I just checked the Caller ID logs of my 'dummy' phone (a number I have set up for messages only, that I use just for places like SNHU that a phone number is "required") and found they've been calling 3 to 5 times a day since I requested information on 9/22/2014. What's more is, just like other respondents, I have also gotten emails every other day. With HTML in the subject line! They aren't even professional enough to write an email.. come on.. nobody in the world types HTML tags into the subject line... so to me (and I'm a computer professional to boot), this means to me they are using a poorly written mass mail software and some moron put an HTML tag where it doesn't go and they are too stupid to see it.... whoops. Welp, long story short, I looked up the number and ended up here. Glad to read what crap they've been doing and for how long. And they wanted $1800+ per course! While yes online is so much more convenient (thus why I wanted to do it), the University that I got by BA from only charged about $3500 for 4 to 7 courses (flat rate!) including all fees and tuition. I'd rather do that again than pay a ridiculous sum and deal with tele-harassers! I'll be filling out an FCC complaint as well.

Wow Dave....how does someone going to a community college make them a lazy sucker?!  Some of the comments I read on these sites are just plain ignorant!  If someone is pursuing a degree, I believe that would categorize them as far from lazy!  Maybe some of these online schools and instate schools are all that people can afford.  If you have information as to the quality of this school and that a degree from it won't matter to potential employers then maybe you could contribute and educated comment about that.

I requested information from this school for one of their online programs.  They call numerous times a day, everyday, even after speaking with them.  This is harassment.  I don't know anyone that would attend the school after this type of treatment.  I obviously would never attend a school that can not display professionalism and respect.  Blocked their number....

I think this might be a colection agency,  but they are such a nuisance, I won't pay the measly $30.00 I owe them.  It is a doctor's office that initiated these harrassing, repetitive calls.  At least that's my thoughts.  I answered until  the man on the phone got snarky with me.  Now, I decline the calls.
