Totally! Why does insensitive humor become SO MUCH FUNNIER when you actually work in Mental Health and/or disability services??!!

I work at a Crisis Center and my girlfriend text me a message saying to call her asap at that number. I was laughing in my office when I was listening to it. It's funny.

how about a friend texted several of us at 1030 at night and like idiots we all call thinking he's in some kind of danger. we were all pretty much either dead asleep or getting there.. we all wanted to kill him and he couldn't understand why. had it been sent midday then it would've been hilarious.. and besides who knows if this actually costs are arm and a leg to dial. =\

This was so hilarious.  I kind of knew it was a joke when my friend gave me the money, but I was not expecting it to be so funny!

I got a similar message as you Ree.  I just got a text from my friend that reads " Hey guys!  Call this #.  They are givingut (that's exactly what it says, not "giving out") money!  They approved me.  No matter ur income 603-413-4133 call asap cause i hear its limited. Then it listed my friend's name.
I just got the message, but refused to call.  I thought that it was some kind of scam so I can here online to look it up.  I'm in Texas and my area just got hit by Hurricane Ike, so I just figured it was someone trying to take advantage of people who are down on their luck right now.

my daughter received a text message saying to call this number to claim some money for the red cross (we just got hit by hurricane Ike).

i got the same message from my brother in law telling me to call him when i did i laughed my butt off so hard, it is now the recording for my voice mail, got bill collectors to stop callin me lmfao

she sent it as a joke lol it was humorous.

Contrary to the opinions of a number of those that have posted, there is nothing funny about a stranger intruding into your life without your permission -- and certainly not on a cell phone.  Some people risk their lives, and the lives of others, trying to answer and talk on a cell phone while driving.  

No, it is not a joke!  It is the childish act of a rude, and inconsiderate,
and unthoughtful, person.  What happened to manners, and respect, in our society?

I called this number and then it called me back, then that night it sent me an email which infected my computer and spammed all of my contacts in both me computer and phone. Then it got ahold of my bank info from my computer and emptied my bank account out! It took over 4 months a new phone a new email a new bank account and the same for all of my friends!!!! Be VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!
