Patrick I'd appreciate you calling me at the office to discuss this with me as soon as possible; or Kevin, whichever you prefer. It was my understanding that the checks had to be reissued for security reasons and you could never provide us with a permanent adress to mail them to.

Instead of scrutinizing Patrick's forehead for the words "easy mark" (you can't really see that over the internet anyway), check your pants -- they're on fire!

"Yeah right", I am unclear what you mean by that. But I know it is hard to pay someone with no permanent address; I'd discuss this further, however I feel that airing this matter over an internet chat board would be disclosing information of a private nature regarding Patrick's employment. I believe this to be unethical, and have always been a firm believer that companies should conduct themselves ethically, or not conduct themselves as companies at all.

Thank you for bringing this to attention. Devin had handed the entry back in because you did not call her within the 72 hours she had to reach you, After which it is reassigned. In regards to the two-week window, we set appoointments for gifts pickup no later than 2 weeks from contact with the gift recipient, as promotions can change on a weekly/monthly basis. In regards to this not being timeshare, some locations we send recipients to do not offer timeshare at all; some companies do offer a form of timeshare or vacation ownership. About 20% of the people who attend these promotions are interested, and that's great! 80% are just there for their free gift, that's great too! 100% will leave with their gifts, a great experience, and will go home and tell their friends and family about us. I encourage you to call our office to schedule gift pickup at 603-718-1050. My name is Justin Theriault

How would I steal your money through a phone conversation? That makes no sense.

There is no deception. We really are calling with incredible news. You'd be surprised how many people are in disbelief at being selected for such a great gift! Seeing as the definition of Incredible is "beyond credible" or unbelievable, it makes sense to say that "I have some incredible news for you!" We do also say that we are calling in regards to the entry form you had submitted at ______ event. Full disclosure is very important to us as a company. It is why we read from a script.

I hardly intimidate anybody. If you look up our address you will find Innseason Resorts because we WERE once the internal marketing department for Innseason Resorts. We have since become KWC Marketing/ Northeast Getaways. We did not move our office location.

Was this through Innseason Resorts OR Northeast Getaways? If not, how does this have anything to do with the current discussion? I'm sorry to hear that you were taken advantage of, but this post misleads reader into assuming that we are responsible for some other promotion you attended. That is unfair.

I am the manager for Northeast Getaways, not a shill. Would you like to call and speak to me? I am being payed to write this, because I am on the clock right now. I don't see a problem with that.

Could you please provide us with some any call records or information to support this? Our office is shut down at 9pm so that would be quite impossible unless you have a cell phone and went overseas. where it would be 9pm local time.

Justin...with all due respect, you come off as a complete [***]. Your smug little attitude does very little to make a case for your company. In reading these posts, several people complain of rude, annoying employees of your company harassing them. From your rude, annoying posts, I think they may be right.
Why don't you train your employees to leave one message and if the person doesn't call back, then they probably are not interested. I bet your company would not be getting such a bad rap if you went more with that angle than the constant harassing phone calls angle you are current doing.
    Just my 2 cents.

I worked at Northeast Getaways for a while. It's not a scam, it's a promotion department. We take entry forms that people fill out at events (we sponsor the events) and offer you gifts as our way of exposing our resorts. Instead of doing commercials to promote our InnSeason resorts, we give away free gifts in hope that people will tell their family and friends about us. They called you so much because they picked YOUR entry form to receive the free gifts. Don't be so closed minded just because you get scammed/telemarketing calls, there are genuine people out there who AREN'T trying to scam you.

I "won" twice (2 different companies). Both prizes were 4 free airline tickets. They were honest about the presentation required to receive the prize. I have been researching this all day and I'm not sure what to do. I have not given them any financial info yet, but was concerned about them asking for a credit card as a form of ID. I have to give them a card # to "hold" the room if I want to stay the night.  They have a B- with the Better Business Borough. I wish I could find someone who already went. My husband says if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. He is probably right.

Anne, Although I realize that this is not a 'scam', simply a sales tactic, why do they call so often?  If I haven't called back after the first five calls, wouldn't you think they would stop calling and assume I am not interested?
I understand what I would have to do to get the free airline tickets (I've done it before) and believe me...unless you are truly planning to purchase a time share it isn't worth the trouble of driving for hours to go through a '90 minute presentation' (which, the last time was 4 hours, not 90 minutes) just to be pressured into buying a timeshare in a location that was nowhere close to what I would have chosen for a vaction resort.
And heaven help you if you say "no".  They treat you like you just wasted their time.
