I got a call from the same number - didn't leave a message though.

"Janelle" claiming to be from Canada Customs and Revenue (which was shut down in 2003 and became the Canadian Revenue Agency) called me from 604-586-2527 and requested I call her back on the number 778-374-8645 by Friday at 9am. Sounds like BS to me.

Call was from Surrey Passport Office - I am the guarantor on my mother's passport application and they were calling to confirm my mother's passport info. This is a valid caller and not a scam of any sort. They did not ask for any financial information just when I signed my mom's form and where and for how long I've known her.

you got scammed. That is not the passport office.

I am very confused about this number. I received a call today asking for our credit card number to pay for the transfer of our passport application to the Surrey Passport Office. Days ago, we received a different call from another agent (same thing, asking for card number) and with a very rude attitude. But the second time (today), it was a nicer guy. I am not sure if this is legit. I am very confused. I did not give any info.

I got a call today for 2 times and say it’s Surry passport office. They left a voicemail with a file number as i am a guarantor on my brother’s passport application and say to call them back. I was confused because i know the government numbers should start with 800 not a local area code! However, i called them back but they didn’t respond.

not a scam call, passport canada direct line to the surrey location in BC. but has bad telephone skills which makes it seem suspicious.

Its just Surrey passport. Confirmed on google and called in.
