    Lots of calls, no messages.  I'm not sure why others here are saying it's a scam without getting more information.  It could be, but it might be something annoying like a telemarketer.  Either way, I have blocked the number.

    It is because there are lots of people that believe that a call from any number that they do not recognize "HAS to be a SCAM!" and they will refuse to answer the call.  Further, for them, not leaving a message only means that their delusion was confirmed.  A number of them then come to this site to "warn" people by posting about the "scam" for which they only post a few vague words that convey no detail about the "scam" they believe called them.  Their "warning" does nothing to actually help people who come here searching for information about who called them and why they were called.

    A couple legitimate call types that follow that pattern are debt collectors and survey takers.
    Debt collectors are persistent if they think they have a lead to the debtor they are after, but they will not necessarily leave any messages as they are not allowed to tell anyone other than the debtor about the debt.  They often work with old information about the debtor, and will call numbers based on that (even if the number may changed users), or call numbers of people with the same or similar name as the debtor.
    Survey takers can also be persistent and do not leave messages because they want spontaneous responses from the person when they answer, leaving a message could taint the responses they get.

    Call back gets "Thank you for calling Transworld Systems Inc Canada."  They are a debt collection agency.  However, as you have pointed out many times, any number can be spoofed.  The community is well advised to use the published number on the website and to review their rights with respect to debt collection.
