Same kind of call from an Indian/Pakistan accent named Joseph Martin, saying he's from IRS in new York, and I have Income Tax issue with IRS.  I asked what's the issue, and advised me to talk to his supervisor, Adam Spencer.  I asked him to be transferred, he refused.  he gave me this number to call back 607-216-8884.
This is a sCAMMER.

I got a call this morning around 8:30am from this number. Cheap people calling and looks like they are reading from sheet asking me or my attorney to call them back. They can't even say it right. Fake jokers.

It was 7:30 a.m. and it finally happened, I got the call from his Majesty William Watson of IRS fame, asking me to call him back at 607-216-8884 or there will be serious litigation from the IRS, I feel very special.

Left a message today. Caller identified the self as Daniel Wilson from the irs. Had a very heavy Indian accent. Could barely makes it what they were saying. Said to call or have attorney the number back ASAP as it was a time sensitive matter. Something to Do with irs payments. Such a scam. I rolled my eyes once he said his name was Daniel Wilson.

I just got a message on my home phone in California. The guy's got a strong Indian/Pakistani accent which made immediately realize he's faking his name as "Dan Wilson". He said I should be ready with my tax attorney to deal with my problem of my income tax filing. He said the matter is time-sensitive and should not be ignored. I knew for a fact that the IRS would have done this kind of things in writing, a letter, not via a phone call. The fact remains is that the number 607-216-8884 is a real telephone number from  NEW YORK. I hope the NEW YORK police can track down who owns this number, maybe a cell phone, and starts the prosecution process.

I got this call. Someone named Pi..I think. He said he was with the IRS. I previously got the same call from another one claiming to be Will. I told this guy I was busy and to have a nice day. Then they called again but I did not answer. I tried the IRS link to report them, but when you call the number you have so many options. Next time I am going to tell them to [***] themselves.

These scammers called me, and said I have serious IRS issues...left call back# 607.216.8884...heavy Indian accent, gave as American a name as he could, like Adam Spencer...said that I was getting sued by the IRS, and did I not know that ?...that he had a whole file on me, and would be glad to read it out to me...said he would be gone for a minute, but was gone for like forever, and then disconnected the phone...

So now, I am wondering, what these guys are up to ? Are they simply trying to confirm our name and phone number by calling ? And then doing something else devious with our personal info ?

Person barely spoke English, said he was from the Internal Revenue Service and there was a problem with my name and I need to call the IRS case manager Adam Spencer at 607-216-8884 to get the matter resolved on my tax return.  I have a friend who works at IRS I called him and he told me first IRS would probably send me something in writing to setup a case number and secondly he looked at the directory for the entire IRS and there is no person named Adam Spencer working at IRS.  

Yeah he's been nonstop calling us and not saying anything.. I guess if we listened long enough he would've pretended to be the IRS or something.. How do you get him blocked?

I got home around 9:40 am on Feb 6th, 2014 when I heard my father talking on the phone, he couldn't understand what this guy wanted. So I started talking to the male caller with a heavy accent. The caller id showed 607-216-8884 (Ithaca, NY) stating he was from the IRS and he was going to have my father arrested for a debt to the IRS from his tax returns 2005-2010. We knew it was a scam, but very annoyingly, he called back repeatedly. I answered, my mom & my dad. We all told him to stop calling. It was very harassing. The IRS never contacts you by phone. They always mail you a letter. I demanded that man to confirm our mailing address, my dad's Social Security Number - he couldn't verify anything. Hang up on these people! I couldn't believe he called back over 5 times. Finally I left the phone off the hook.

I to got a call from somebody with a foreign accent...could be Indian.  His name was Yidi, with the IRS.  He said he was with the attorney's at IRS.  Wanted me to call him back asap...I googled his number..607-216-8884 and I found this page with all the other people they have tried to scam.  Good thing I did as I was about to call the nu.. You can't be to careful.

wow, these scumbags are still calling? I got a phone call from them on Jan 31, around 8AM, telling me I had "Legal Issues"

Someone named himself Jerry Cruise kept calling me today and yesterday. He said he worked for IRS. I realized this was a scam by searching online the number 6072168884 he left on my machine. I am wondering who owns this phone number and why no IRS officials and other law enforcement officers investigate this scam. Isn't it illegal to pretend to be IRS staffs? Or someone at IRS is really doing this?

got a call too  to the name of harry scoth from irs that donnot disregard this message or retain a lawyer
and call this # right away  and nobody answer.i google it and see all these messages.

Got the same call, for my mother who has not worked in 15 years, IRS can't audit things past 5 years, plus, IRS always send in official document first not a phone call.  IRS can not arrest you for things like owed tax, they can take you to court.  

Same thing happened to me a couple of minutes ago,  a man with heavy India accent called and ask me to call back to Kevin Johnson at 607 216 8884

BEWARE!!!! Total scam. These people can barely speak English and cannot answer simple questions. Very annoying. They call around 8am every morning with the same scripted message. I asked them where they were located and he could not tell me. The guy who has been calling me says his name is Frank Watson, yeah right! Complete FRAUD!!!!!!

Got a call regarding my son from "Adam Spencer" who wanted to have my son return his call at extension 359.  He claimed a serious tax matter. Obvious Indian/Pakistani accent.

Immigrants! Ha! Great grandparents fought in 1776,  & husband's family been here since 1800's.  But yes have an "interesting" last name, and targeting immigrants is sooo not right.  So I guess that's why I got the call.  IRS problems, etc. sounded like guy was on drugs.  Thanks to everyone for posting.
