Telemarketer, calling from "Vehicle Coverage Associates" or some such generic name. Didn't let him finish his spiel, but I think they're selling auto repair warranties.

Somehow, they knew I had a Honda and wanted to update my warranty.  Car hasn't been under warranty in years though.

they knew the make and model of my car, but had the year wrong. they were offering to renew warranty coverage that to my knowledge i have never had. i suspected a scam so i didn't hear them out or provide any information.

Called me under (607)203-9868, I hung up, then called me under (607)223-5219. Knew I had a Jetta but I haven’t had a warranty in a while and I don’t need one.

I see you neglected to post under the other number  https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-607-203-9868.  Was there a reason for that?  There is one post over there and no description of the scam.  People searching that number will surely not know to come here.
