Same here. This number and a few other "new ones" over the past couple weeks come in at the same exact time some old numbers used to. You can set your clock by them... I'll be getting one from a fictitious Florida number between 5:30 and 5:45 today too, that one's also a "new" number. No clue who they are... I pick up the phone & hang it up as soon as the ID displays the number when I'm near it and if I'm not they never leave a message - EVER.

said they were calling from national grid with savings for my area, asked if i knew about the savings offered

Thursday, 8/'18/16, 11:12 a.m.  I received a call from this number.  The person on the other end indicated that he was calling re my National Grid bid and that I was paying too much for one of the items under supply services on my bill.  After referring to me as "Ms Joan" each time he insisted that I was paying too much, etc.  We got cut off and so I redialed the number from caller id.  I was informed that if I wished to not receive calls from that number I could press "1" and it would go on the no call list.  He did call back and said we were cut off and apologized but I told him I would wait to be contacted in writing by National Grid about any changes, etc. and hung up.  I definitely will contact the do not call number.

Called our home phone 8/19/16, couldn't answer in time and they left no message.  Tried calling the number a few days later and only got a loop recording saying '...if you want to be removed from our call list, press 1...'

If as others've said, this is a scam posing as National Grid, then your time is probably better spent calling an actual National Grid service line and reporting it to them.  I've little doubt they'll put a stop to it somehow or other.

I see the most recent post here is 7 months old? Guess what folks... these scumbags are still alive & well but now they've stooped low enough to leave an URGENT message for me to call the number back with my electric bill handy.

Called left message to talk with the owner of the National Grid bill about our heat.We deleted the message and number! Scammers trying to get your information.

I have had several calls from this number with no message, now I am getting a call from a 518 number from a woman who says she is calling about my Nat'l Grid bill and to call her back with a copy of the bill. These people are definitely persistent and don't give up easily.  I don't answer any of them, or call back!

Got called by this number twice...Saying she's Mrs Howard and needs to talk to me about charges on my National Grid bill. Gave me a phone number to call and a reference #. Said to have my electric bill with me when I call. DEFINITELY a scam. I'm reporting it to National Grid- these people are trying to get information from your bill so they can steal from you! If it was truly National Grid, they would already have the information on my bill.
