Called to say that I was under audit by the IRS and that I needed to take care of this right away. Did not bother to even determine if they had identified the right person.

Called and left no msg. Going straight to call block. Many thanks to previous posters.

I guess they didn't realize I'm a special investigator with the Treasury department

They call and never leave message

IRS scam.  One of those recorded messages that appears to be a live person.  When you say it is a recording it says no I am a live person, but then goes on, and gives message that you are in trouble with the IRS and you need to answer some questions to see if you are qualified to be helped by them a federal agency.  I apparently didn't respond correctly and it said sorry you don't qualify and will be taken off our list.  IRS doesn't cold call people, ever.

Left no message but called my wife around the same time. IRS scam. I have a tax debt and can tell you that they absolutely WILL NOT EVER call you. Ever. Even if you ask them to.

Received a call from this number but no one was there.  ANNOYING!!!

I've been getting a call from this number every day. No message left. Annoying.
