Got the James called called back on another phone to mess with them.. told her what a joke encouraged me to report to FBI. In heavy eastern accent said her name was Lisa Brown. Called back on the number they called me on said 3 different names when I through her off settled in her heavy eastern accent as Sandra Williams. Told her you called me whats it about? Wanted my name told her you obviously have it played cat and mouse until she hung up after putting me on hold a few time obviously to consult with someone.. kept saying help me out give me your name, told her you must have it..I have hundreds of clients... finally said I 2012 taxes... I kept it up she finally hung up

Threatening an enforcement action, indeed.  Baloney.

I got the same call, except heavy indian accent said his name was Jason Williams, "Agents will be at my doorstep in one half hour with arrest warrant"

OMG.......not another one!! Called twice, one after another. BLOCKED.

Remember when the FCC used to have some power to shut down TV stations, radio stations, disconnect phone numbers, or whatever when illegal or inappropriate stuff like this happened? Whatever became of that kind of power in this country? No agency seems to have any kind of power anymore because they're afraid of hurting somebody out of "political correctness." including scammers and telephone intruders like this. It's about time our government, who is supposed to be working for us honest people and not the crooks, started going after these guys and stopping them.

Same as above. However, I just love listening to the mangled English, irrational threats, and vague offer of help! Got the same guy a few months ago and he ended with "God Bless"! He was "Steve Martin" then. I've recorded it to share with friends. Hilarious. Of course, his new number is now blocked.

Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jewelry for a federal criminal offense. My number is 609-961-1439. I repeat 609-961-1439. Wife you to cooperate with us and help us to help you. Thank you."

I just received the same robo call.  Enforcement Actions at the US Treasury. If we don't contact him they will take action against us, otherwise it will go to a Magistrate Judge or Grand Jury.

Same as previous reports: Will go to grand jury for federal offense if I do not call back. Sent the voice mail transcript to phishing@irs.gov.

A message on my answering machine - I thought he said his name was James Gaston, but it sounds like the guy in the above postings. The phone number is the same. The message was the same.

Caller said they were from Us treasury and calling about an outstanding balance. It's a scam call.

Got the same call the other day on another phone line, so I knew the drill.  This time it was a live person who identified himself as 'an enforcement agent with the Treasury Department calling on behalf of the IRS regarding a small underpayment of taxes from my 2013 return.'  After letting him 'impress' me with his authority, I told him that he had called my work phone and that I was just a hard working FBI Field Supervisory Investigator for the Department of Justice and that all of my incoming calls are recorded and traced.  For some reason, the line went dead.  Apparently BSers are easy to BS.

I received the same call last week from a "James Gaston" stating he was with the US Treasury and if I didn't call them back it would be transferred to a Magistrate for further legal action.

US Treasury scam call threatening enforcement if we don't act.

Got a call from this number from a very heavy accent stating there was an employment opportunity in my state he wanted to refer me to. Already knowing he was a scammer. I turned the tables and started asking him personal questions such as educational,personal, financial, sexual, kids, family, pets, etc. He finally hung up which was my intention.

Called my office line.  No message left, just someone asking if anyone was there when the phone was never answered, it just rolled over to VM.
