I think these guys are scam artists. They claim to be collecting donations for burn victims...but for some reason I don't think they are legit.

PPFFA - Pennsylvania Professional FireFighters Association.  Xentel, a telemarketing company is calling for donations for the PPFFA.  Xentel won't tell you what percentage goes to PPFFA and Xentel settled two attorney general complaints over deceptive telemarketing/consumer fraud in Pennsylvania.  You can try calling the service numbers they provide, but get nowhere.

They have called me several times and never take me off their list, they are calling for "non-profit" and think they are exempt from Do Not Call even when I specifically ask to be removed.  I called them back, not at their automated recording but where live people are, the office numbers of the call center.  Live managers answered!!

I found a charge (donation) long ago from them on my credit card [stupid me for being nice and donating], and because of the two news articles about Pennsylvania requiring repayment of donations back to consumers, I'm using the two Attorney General settlements as backing to demand a refund of my "donation".

They are so persistent. They call my number at least once every day over the past few months. I got it once and know they are calling for donations.....

there was a major fire in my neighborhood yesterday. today i am getting a call from pffa.

They call various times EVERY day. I ask them to send me a donation letter so I can mail it to them, but they won't do that. I've also asked them to take me off their calling list, and then I won't get a call for a while, but then it starts up again.

The calls are being made from a call center near Pittsburgh, PA.  The manager of the location is Joe Geffert.  The office number is (724) 515-3108, a live person answers anytime the call center is open.  If you ever donated money in the past, demand a refund (cite the Attorney General suit) if they led you to believe a local firefighter was calling you.  If you've been called too much,  tell them to take you off their list.

Xentel has provided these DIRECT office numbers for your callback convenience or whatever reason you want to call them back for.  

State Attorney General suits weren't enough to stop their slimey practices, so call them personally on their personal office phones, just like they call your personal phones.

BTW: This "charity" calling company had a 26% profit margin!!  It's in their annual report, along with a $775,000 lawsuit.

I have received calls from this number over the last week, but nothing but a hang up after I answer.

They have called at least 3 times a day for the 7 days.  I have tried to answer a few times, but nobody on the other line, just a hang up

Second time they called this week.  Just hang-up without saying anything.  What's the point?

I called 724-515-3180 and a man answered "Xentel, how may I help you." I told him to take me off their list and he recited my phone number to me (without me giving it to him) and said he would take me off the list.

I got a call from 610-230-7200 once saying it was pffa then I got a call from the same number 3 weeks later saying it was from omega services.  I don't know what they are.  They never leave a message and I won't answer a number I don't know.

I had to block there number. Three to four calls a week was a bit too much.

The easiest way to get us to stop calling is to give us money. Get out your Credit Card and stop crying! Your Fire Fighters need your support this year more than ever ok! :)

An even better way to get you to stop calling is to automatically forward all your calls to a local porn line or back to one of your own numbers.  Worked like a charm.  It's amazing how quickly whining beggars stop calling once it's their time being wasted.

Okay I'm on "round two" of this company - first it was Narcotic Officers in PA, I contacted them directly through their website and they told me they would remove my phone number, 2 days later Xental threw me to the PFFA - WTF? Its sucks living in PA - why couldn't Rendall ban Xental from calling people in PA - wish we had better government people like some of those states who got Xental banned for their natives. I can block numbers on my cell phone but Verizon doesn't offer the service to land lines - com'on people get with the times! The is a big market for blocking phone calls

Can Congress just ban Xental from calling anyone in the US??? - if they are from Canada, keep it in Canada (sorry fellow Kunuks)
I wish I had $100 to buy that Call ID Manager from Privacy Cops website....
