Just called me at 12.22 pm Nov.9 - but I don't have my answering machine on at the moment so they couldn't leave a message if they wanted to.

Anything just city and state is suspect in my book.

I found it in a block of numbers bought up by the Russians.
So I will stand by my claim that it is suspect and spam.

Phuckheads are calling from a VOIP service using a fake number - they call every morning at 9:30 AM...24 calls thus far, no message.

Called from Avondale, PA @ 11:54 a.m. on 12/4/15. Calling to make sure I qualify for lower PECO rates and am I on any gov't assistance programs? wanted me to pull up PECO bill so he could find out something from it. Told him to call back later. Will block the number.

Caller ID says Avondale, PA   Asking if we received a notice in our last PECO Bill about alternative energy companies and options.

i  keep telling them i am  not interested in another alternative energy supplier and they keep calling. called back and number is not in service.

The Avondale phone number belongs to Shipley Energy. I received two calls just 10 minutes apart.
When Shipley calls, Do NOT give them your name!
DEMAND than they REMOVE your phone number from their list.

LOOK at the “Message Center” on the first page of your PECO bill.. Note: ‘Your electric price to compare is….per KWh.  This may change in March, June, September and December…

There is a Consumer alert on the PAPowerSwitch website: “As of December 1, 2015, customers of PPL, PECO, Met-Ed, Duquesne Light, UGI, West Penn Power, Penelec, Penn Power and Pike County Light and Power will see the price to compare change.  As you shop, consider the differences between fixed and variable rates.”

This is why the alternative companies are calling and explaining that PECO will still be sending you your electric bill, and while PECO will tell you that you have the option to change companies, they will not tell you more. Obviously, that is not true.

Make sure the Distribution and/or Transmission charges DO NOT list an energy company.  If you’ve always used PECO, and NEVER authorized an alternative source, there will be no company name there.

Reported to FCC / FTC.  Received over 30 calls - they were told numerous time to put me on DNC and they refuse.
