- DaveHappens to be 2 digits off another scam caller. They finally answered and said they were non profit. trying to save homeowners $ on electric bill. Would not tell me who they were. Got supervisor on line told him I was recording call for quality assurance (as they told me they were doing) and this was an illegal call and he hung up.

- didnotanswerJust received my second call in 2 months from this number. The first time we answered on Nov. 10th the call and the recording was advertising electric bill saving and I hung up. Then, today it called again at 1 pm. I did not pick up and the phone rang 5 times and did not leave a message with my answering service. I am on the no call list and I will be reporting this number to the FCC. If enough people report such numbers, something might be done.

I hope this works - Susan replies to anneA couple of days ago I called back and pressed 1. So happy to get rid of these calls, I wanted to share this to save others the aggravation of the constant calls.
- disgustedGot a call this early evening from these scabs. I already changed my electric company and am very happy with it. These bottom feeders are annoying, intrusive, and relentless. LEAVE US ALONE!!!

- Lynne Urian| 1 replyI did get to talk with a "supervisor" at this number.....who said since I was on the Do Not Call list they would remove my phone number -- but who could not answer why they had called a number from that list in the first place. I'm an AARP member, by the way. I wish someone could do something about these telemarketers who blatantly disregard the DNC list.....

- Eileen BruticoI resent being pestered by these type calls when I am trying to relax in the privacy of my own home. I am on the no-call list but it doesn't seem to happen.
- EileenPA POWER NOTICE - another electricity provider scam. Why would I sign up with a company that ignores the Do Not Call List? Obviously, they are not legit.

- jc| 1 replyReceived a call from this number and they did not leave a message. I also am on the DNC list, so why am I getting these pesky calls?
Why are non-profits excluded from the laws for the DNC list? - PaulThese people keep calling me even though I have told them to stop!

- Resident47 replies to Robert PattsYour scamming callers do not maintain this site or this web page. No callers can magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. Criminals who mass-dial and violate the Telemarketing Sales Rule have no plans to stop calling you no matter what you say and regardless of your DNC registrations. They need first to be sued or jailed.
FCC notes on various ways to combat nuisance calls (at least from legitimate sources)
http://www.fcc.gov/guides/unwanted-telephone-marketing-calls - Resident47 replies to jcThe Do Not Call registry is not a shield or a filter or a guard on duty. It is *A LIST* referenced by compliant telemarketers and ignored by scofflaws who hide behind spoofed numbers and cheap VOIP.
The Telemarketing Sales Rule and Telephone Consumer Protection Act are written to mainly restrict *sales callers*. These energy provider slammers can claim to be "nonprofit" all they like, but why bother blasting everyone with solicitations to switch without a profit incentive, hmm? If a sales purpose is facilitated by a call, the TCPA and TSR do apply. - t kreppel replies to Lynne UrianThere is part of the problem....AARP!!! obama's pal's!
