- BrandonI got a call from this number and they stated they were a paralegal investigating "fraud" on an account, which is not possible; cause we never reported fraud. Also we made all our payments to the company we owed money too and they trying to get about 1,000 more dollars, or will precede with the "case" for my county. The person claims to be a paralegal of Joel Lloyd
- Edward| 1 replySame thing - received a call that they were giving me an opportunity to pay the balance I owed a company called Westwood Mediation which I made all payments to - they have turned over to "Associates - Joel Lloyd - when I did a reverse look up of the phone number it was an unlisted phone line. I was told that I had 24 hours to pay $1,500 more dollars or they will proceed with a "Case. The person I spoke with was a "Miss Swanson. When I initially called back her voice mail said she would return all calls within 24 hours. When I did not hear back - I called the following day. She informed me she "never returns phone calls" then told me I had committed "fraud". I told her I had not and hung up on her. Time to contact the State's Attorney's office in St. Paul!

hat do I do? - ShayneI received similar calls to these. I personally called the loan company she was claiming to be a representative of. This company searched for me and all personally information in their computer system and could find any record that I am currently a customer, a former customer, or that I am a delinquent customer or that any of my personal information had been used to obtain a loan through them. They advised me to file a police report, which I did. The lady calling me is Agent Tipson. She does not provide a first name. When I ask her the name of the company she works for that she has been contracted through, she dances around the question and tries to change the subject. This is a scam. The police department advised me to discontinue any further communication with her. The police officer also said that if I accidentally have to speak to her, like my kids answered the phone, to inform her a police report has been filed, a complaint with the federal trade commission, and state attorney general's office. He also said that if she insisted a lawsuit would be filed, to tell her you welcome it because you have no outstanding balance with the said company. Hang up!

- A.K. replies to beth| 1 replyYes waste your local law enforcement officers time with your telemarketer problem. You are the same idiot that would call 911 if Burger King did not give you the proper items in your order. YOU ARE STUPID, if the calls annoy you that much disconnect your phone and go live in the woods you moron. No wonder the US is dropping in the world rankings, people like you making stupid decisions and not being able to think. GET A CLUE
- The reporter replies to beth| 1 replyI received the exact same voicemail from a Sophia Rodriguez. She knew my address and last four of my SSN so I was worried. But at the same time I never got a payday loan from this company she is saying I all of a sudden owe from 2010. I have talked to her a few times and even allowed my mother to talk to her. two weeks ago I was given a "settlement" of $1000 on a debt and had to pay immediately or they would proceed with criminal charges in my county. I didn't pay. This week I was given a $400 settlement and still another threat to file charges. I have been "officially notified" on my vm at least 3 diff dates so I'm not sure if they are for real or not. She said they are not a collection agency but rather a mediator for the payday company. Well if thats the case, send me to a collection agency.

- jay replies to A.K.Actually making a police report about the harassment is the thing to do for fruad purposes. It covers you incase you are taken to court incase it is legit. Its identity theft because they have your information.
