Generationl Equity called asking for the business owner. After googling, it appears to be a fee up front to sell your business. Not much good said about them on the net.

Same scam, different number.  When you tell them to put your number on their DNC list they get very defensive.

Get call from a pushy, nervous salesman, about some kind of business buyout.
Sounded like a crook or at the best a needy person.

"Greg Reed" called asking for our owner. Said it was about a business merger. The number he gave me to call back at was 469 828 2804

Got a message from this number from a "jim Bolin" asking for the business owner, only getting the name wrong ("Brian" instead of Ryan) and left a return call number of 469-828-2795

These clowns have called me monthly for 18 months.  Even though the guy on the other end was polite and not pushy, I still have no interest in talking to them.

He asked for me by name, too.  Dammit.

This is a very DANGEROUS company BEWARE.  They are based in Texas but use fake numbers from MN and other states.  The salesman was desperate to earn his commissions and was very deceptive, he kept trying to close me, on listing my business to sell, he sounded like he did not even have a license to sell business or stocks.  He was desperate and needed the commissions check.  BEWARE of GENERATIONAL EQUITY of Texas.  Theya re a CROOKED business broker.

caller id says 'Jim Hageman'.  Wanted to talk to the business owner about 'a business interest'.  When I asked further he asked if we were interested in selling our business.

ID said Generational Eq. "John" was calling to speak with our business owner (knew him only by his first name). Said the boss had asked him to call and set-up a meeting for next week, which is odd b/c he's been out of the office all this week and will be gone for the next two weeks on vacation. "John" said he'd just call again "next time I'm in the area." Refused to leave a message or call back number. Bogus call.

What a bunch of slime balls -- this company called our office twice yesterday and the second time the boss told them he was definitely not interested and not to call again.  They called again this morning.  Too bad we don't have the time to call them twice daily and annoy them.  

We will keep blocking the phone numbers they use to call us until they run out of numbers!  Take that!

Got a call from this number this afternoon. "Bill" calling from Generational Equity, asking to speak to the owner (who is me/my spouse, but I didn't let him know that) with an invite to a local "luncheon" that only a "very select few" were invited to. Call back number given was 512-364-0806

Got the call - instantly blocked the call by pressing the "BLOCK" button on my Uniden desk phone.

They can never call me again.

Buy a call-blocking phone.  

Uniden and Panasonic make wonderful call blocking phones and they're inexpensive.  They also come with at least one wireless handset.  Very handy!!!
These phones also block “Out of Area” and “Private” calls.

Just received a call from Clara Mitchell at Generational Equity.  She asked for the owner by his formal name, so I knew it was a sales call.  I said he was in a meeting and she gave me a direct callback number (469-828-2830).  She was very polite and not pushy at all but we have no desire to do business with these guys.

"Mergers and acquisitions" phone call from "Scott Smith." He was polite but I didn't give him a chance to get further than that.  Said 469-828-2798 was his direct line. I told him we weren't interested and to please put us on their DNC list.

Got a call from 1-612-568-1899 from a woman named Alexa - now she sounded way older to carry the name Alexa. She asked for my boss by name - now when people call the company for her, I know that she doesn't know them, nor do I. And I fight to keep them from talking with her. "Alexa" forced me to take down a message since my boss is out of the country on business. She gave me a call back number which is 1-469-828-2814 - they wanted to invite by boss to a meeting on August 6th - they didn't go into detail what the meeting pertained to.

Another number they call from:   512 900 7849.   In this case a 'John Jansen' claiming to have been referred and 'call me and if you are interested, I'll email you details'.   Frankly, if I sell my biz through someone that cold-called me from the blue, I'm barking up the wrong tree already.

Damn, wish I'd seen my own post quicker; just received a call from Alan Poole from this number, although he gave 512-900-7833 as his call back.  Same song and dance as before.

Called regarding an "exciting business opportunity," including a "meet-up" in our area in a few weeks. This time, he gave the company name as Generational Equity, and Gil's call back number this time was 469-828-2803.

I just got a call from 612-568-1899 asking for the owner. I said "I would be happy to check and see, may I ask who is calling?" And the rude guy on the other end said "You know what, if you have to check I'll just call him back at a later time." and hung up! Poor customer service!!
