Me too.  Who is this guy?

I received the same call yesterday

I looked back at my call log and found where he actually left a message that said he is with Digitiliti Disaster Recovery which operates out of the old Federal Reserve building in Minneapolis.  He identified himself as "Danny" that time.

So, they seem legitimate, but this guy doesn't know how to leave a voice mail.

We are not a "telemarketer".  We do use the telephone in explaining our sophisticated suite of Disaster Recovery / Back up / Storage products to customers.  We are a business-to-business technology firm serving predominently the small- and medium-size enterprise market.  We are not currently engaged in the "consumer" or small office / home office market, although we are always evolving and willing to provide services where it makes sense. Our digital vault is, in fact, in our hardened, secure data center space downtown Minneapolis, along with our other colocations. If you have a need for our services, we are the premier service vendor in this space and would be pleased to have the opportunity to speak with you!

I too got a voicemail today "DAN, Dan 612-850-5036" was the message left.

To me this is the lamest, laziest AND rudest sales call tactic. Do they seriously think we would spend any time calling a rude company to do business with them? NOT! Dan

He say's "Jim, Dan. 612 850 5036", that's it.

I got a call from this guy too, I'm glad it went to VM so I didn't have to talk to him.  Very Rude!  "This is Dan 612-850-5036" CLICK

Appearantly, though considered rude by some (myself included), his tactic must be successfull as he is still leaving the exact same message, several months later.  

It is most likely a well planned, "social engeneering" tactic designed to generate curiosity (if not recognized) or trust (if confused with someone you know, as I almost did)

Same message here with same caller ID info.  Odd thing is that I know Danny Quam, and he knows me pretty well, and for him, if it is really him, to leave a message like this is very odd.

I just got the same message: lazy, generic and without emotion. I googled the number and saw this.

I just got the same voicemail at 3:49PM today.

Guy hasn't gotten a clue yet, still doing this . . .

Rude.
Telemarketer.
This time calling from cell phone, apparently, with way too much car noise in background.
This company needs negative backlash to stop this from happening.
Please stop doing business with this company.

I'm getting this call perhaps monthly, though the last couple were just a week apart.

I was foolish enough to listen to this guy and meet him in person.  Now he won't leave me or my company alone.  A warning to all. DO NOT talk to this person if you want peace in you life.  I've asked him to stop calling and it doesn't work.

I got all the same calls. Even when you tell him not interested. I do not want to migrate my data anywhere. He calls back in six days or six months. Later with a different company and a different product. They were not even worth looking at. I ended up keying in "Do not answer" on his phone number on both my desk phone and cell phone.

I received the same call today.   This is Dan, 612-850-5036.  What a joke.  I will not ever do business with Dan or www.digitiliti.com.

He didn't try to sell me anything, nor was he rude, but I am not Brian and it seems like a legitimate mistake.

Sales are hard... Give him a break.

Same deal, called yesterday (4/21/09). With the number of junk sales calls people get, who would really expect a phone call by just saying a name and leaving a number? We had a Digitiliti account previously that was cancelled, so I could understand if that's what the call is about. But how hard would it be to say "Hi, this is Dan at Digitiliti. I'd like to speak to you about our services. Please call me back at 612-850-5036".

Maybe it's a good tactic though because I'm almost interested to call him back and ask that exact question.

If you're so anxious to speak with us, why leave such a generic response in a thread of so many people saying they have no interest in speaking to someone who doesn't leave a proper voicemail? Cold calls are one thing, but literally leaving just a name and number isn't the best way to get people to call you back.
