Message left from the law firm of Joe Pasuedo (unsure of spelling) asking to call immediately and ask for extension x223.  I don't return calls unless there is a complete message left with details.  I know it can't be any debt collector, since I don't have any debt except my home.  Just passing this on in case it may be a scam.

same as above- left a message saying they needed to talk to us from the law firm of Joe Pazutto (sp?) - we also don't have any debt collection calls.

You should call them back because they are a debt collector.  Since you say you dont have any debt, maybe someone has been using your name or a case of identity theft.

received a call from this number, lady said she is carol or karen from law
office, I said that I did not know who she was so she said very rudely she was about to tell me.  I then told her that she could not call me at work and she said "I JUST DID."  I hung up.

Received a call from 612-861-7270 today, left message requesting a call back to 866-526-0101.  I called the number and a male answered "Law Offices of Joe Pezuto".  I told him I was returning their call and he hung up on me.  I called back and the same man answered. I asked why he hung up on me and he answered with "Don't you have anything better to do?" I told him I was simply returning their call and he said "I guess I'll talk to you again when you call back in a minute" and then he hung up!

My wife received a letter from this same outfit back in June. The letter was offering her a settlement on an account from a long time defunct company. The account was more than 10 years old and we did not owe them any money when they closed.  I immediately replied with a certified letter, disputing the validity of any debt. I have a return receipt for the letter.

Now almost 6 months later they are calling but refuse to talk ... I'm going to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in both of our states.

I received a call from the # 612-861-7270 stating that it was of importance to call the office of Joe Pazutto.  I just received this phone # and it is unlisted.  Are these debts valid?  To what extreme will they go?  I looked him up and he is from Arizona.  I think I'll wait and see if they call again.

I received a call from this number.  They left a message.  I called back.  The Joe guy answer and asked for my social security number.  When I would not give it to him he was very rude and hung up.  2 seconds later the lady Sharon called and would not tell me what it was about.  They said they handle many differern't cases.  She ended up saying she must have the wrong person.

I have been getting calls form these people for a while. thought I would do some research and came across this site.  these people sound like they are scammers trying to fish for social security numbers to really take you down. Never give personal info over the phone.  It's nice to know this info so I can relate this matter to further would be victims.  Thanks

Fax: 612/861-7323; toll free 866/526 0101 There are two offices: in Minnesota (Kevin Landberg) & Arizona (Joe Pezzuto). the office represents creditors. the people from the office are indeed rude. Advise them in writing that you would take legal actions  against, sometimes it makes them more reasonable. thanks

They have been calling both my phone and business numbers without leaving any messages until today. A woman left a message on my electronic message service, which has an out-going message telling people it is for messages only and clearly identifies that it is for messages for me only, and left a message that might have been for a relative. I'm not sure about that because she only left a first name of who she was calling for. And then she did not hang up her phone and I got 3 minutes of dead air before my service cut the call off.

I did a business check and here is what I found; The Law Office of Joe Pezzuto is in Phoenix AZ phone #602-274-9911 and is a debt collection company not an office of lawyers.

They also have an office headed by Kevin Landberg at 6636 Cedar Ave S in Mpls, MN. The 612-861-7270 is one of the numbers that location has.

They are not real lawyers. Pezzuto may have gone to law school but his company is a bad debt collector. They are making what is called 3rd party calls in the attempt to locate someone you might know. If they were calling about you they would have left you a message, but instead they are fishing in the hope that they can speak to you directly and pressure you into giving them information on a 3rd party.

You are not required to provide any information on anyone and under both the Federal and Minnesota DO NOT CALL Laws they are not to make 3rd party calls and if told to remove your name from their records they are required to do so and never call you again.

I would recommend that you call the number they leave after 10 PM in their time zone, so that you will be sure to get their voicemail and not have to argue with their staff, and leave them a message back telling them to either leave you a detailed message of what their business is with you, but only leave your first name and the number they called, and also tell them that if they are calling about a 3rd party to remove your number from their records.

If they continue to call, if you are in Minnesota contact the State Attorney General's Office and file a complaint.

They do collect debts, that is true. "They are not real lawyers." is not. Kevin Landberg sues on bad debt. I didn't think they would but i was served and they garnished my wages. I live in Minnesota. I got off lucky it could have been much worse it was a small bill. Had it been a big one, this could have ruined my life. Be careful, just because they haven't sued you yet doesn't mean they wont. I wish i hadn't blown them off I can tell you.

I had received a message form x223 a month ago.  I found out I was being sued...I was upset at first til the lady was very courtous with me but told me I need to pay my bill. Long story short this lady not only helped me with my bill in a professional manner.  She gave me very good advise on dealing with my other debts that I was not being sued for.  I have talked to alot of bill collectors and all were rude, unprofessional, and not willing to compromise.  But x223 which is now x205 I wish she had all my other bills there. I rather deal with her at the Law office of Joe pezcto than any other collector.

If you owe a bill I dont think bill collectors are being rude. I think because you owe a bill that you have problems on paying.  Any mention of it can come accross to our listening ears as rude.  I say give them the benefit of the doubt. It cant be an easy job to do and there would not be a collection department or business if we did not over extend ourselves in debt and just buy the necessities or only purchase on credit cards what we know we can afford to pay off in 60 days.  That is what I do.

There can be many reasons why people fall behind on debt. This particular agency isn't just rude, they will do whatever it takes, no holds barred, to get their money. I had a valid payment plan with them and they arbitrarily decided it wasn't getting paid off fast enough, in spite of the fact that we had an agreement and I paid a big chunk of it off at the beginning. My mistake was in saying I would try to pay it off more quickly IF I COULD. They actually told me to fax a copy of my tax returns to them. No way! Unfortunately, because I'm just sick and tired of the harassment, I'm paying off more than I can afford over the next two months. I only hope it doesn't put me right back where I started.

This company is nothing but nasty. Even when you are trying to work with them. They make you feel worthless. They always want more money and want to know when you can pay that more money. They make sure you know they do not have to work with you. They asked me about my tax returns also and claim they will work to the fullest extent of the law. It is a mess. I have never felt so degraded in my life. I hate when I have to talk with them. They took double payments once from me and  made me feel like the bad guy when I asked for it to be returned. Many people in America are on a budget. If I had lots of money I would not be dealing with them at this point.

come on you guys, you act like you didn't see any of this coming. they called me and obviously sent me to my dad for help because I'm only 22.  Dad helped and I saved 5000 on a 10000 debt and my credit is better for that.  quit crying and own up to it....jeez

I have been receiving calls from 612-861-7270 to call their 866 number. They have been asking for someone last name Jones, that obviously is not me.  I dont have any debts and I know these people are debt collectors.  I have told them many times, there is no Jones here, and they continue to call.  Please stop the abuse.

This a$$hole of a firm is constantly calling me looking for someone by the name of Vincent which whom I have no sort of connection or allegiance with.  Every other day I will receive a call on my answering machine while I am away at work.  These crack heads need to get their information updated and start calling the right person.  We've had this number since Sept 2007 and they still haven't learned.  I doubt this firm is successful at what they do if they can't even get the correct number to conduct their business.  All I have to say is F Joe Pezzuto and his f'ing staff quit harassing someone who has no relations with this low life you are looking for.  I work hard for my money and I take care of all my finances.  Wake the f up, if this harassment continues I will file a complaint with the attorney general office as well as the BBB.

Instead of going on an obviously worthless rant over the internet, have you tried just calling them back and identifying yourself and your number and asking them to stop call?

Well, most of us don't have our Daddies to run to for help.  I know that when I can, I will pay my debt.  When I can.  Don't judge because you don't know people's personal problems.
