Called me at 9 pm on a Friday, didn't leave a message.

Called my landline at night, no msg left.

This number calls three or four times a day. Never leaves a message just hangs up as soon as the answering machine kicks in.
I would really like to know the name of this company so I could return the favor.

Got call at 8:30 PM PST, I'm in western Canada, came from Ottawa area - 3hr time difference - on my cell, no mssg left, my phone is pay per minute and it wastes my cell time. Spoofers active in my area too (AirMiles scam) so hard to say what this caller wants.    

Called twice in two days (weekday afternoon). I didn't pick up.

I did not pick up because I don't know the number. Hung up in message box. I think it is a political campaign. Likely NDP.

I called the number back and they said: "You have reached Strategic Communications" - likely a polling company.

I receive at least 2 calls a day from this number. I don't pick up and no message is left.

The company is called Strategic Communications, and they fundraise for a number of charitable and nonprofit organizations as well as the NDP, and fundraisers are not allowed (by regulations) to leave messages on answering machines / voicemail.

The name of the company is Strategic Communications who do research surveys. Call the number back and a pre-recorded message will give you the option of entering the phone number you wish to have deleted from their dialling list.

Called and didn't leave a message

Just did that. It takes them two business days to remove it from their database. They're quick on adding your number, but drag their feet in removing it.
