Exact same words and person just called me.  They have been calling repeatedly.

My wife just took a call from 613 704 2174. It was a female caller with a strong indian accent claiming to be named Caroline Stone and calling on behalf of CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) about an alleged tax debt and a lawsuit for tax fraud and evasion. The caller alleged that a tax debt existed for the years 2004 until 2014 and that if my wife did not comply, the RCMP would be  coming to our home to arrest her. My wife was then given an account number and told to deposit cash in it. The account # cv11690214. For the record my wife has filed all her income tax returns for the years in question and all those returns have been accepted by CRA uncontested. Please do not indulge these crooks.

Same thing for us.  Eric Foster with a heavy East Indian accent called yesterday and today.  Apparently I am big trouble with the CRA.  Crazy that this guy hasn't been busted yet.

Same story but he used the name Mike wilson from Tax Crime branch of CRA. He asked me to deposit money by a moneygram addressed to Joseph Wayne Smith of Whitehouse, Tennessee, USA.
I did report to RCMP Surrey, BC

Same experience. "Erik" called twice today and left prerecorded identical messages threatening serious consequences if I didn't call the second I got the message.

Claimed to be from CRA and there's legal action against me. I asked them 6 times what organization they were with. Finally they said CRA. I told them to send me a registered letter and hung up. Clearly a scam.

Our Caller ID list calls from 613-704-2174 as follows: 8:10 and 9 am Nov. 2*; 8:50 am, 9:47 am and 5:06 pm Oct. 30; 8:12 and 8:39 am Oct. 29
This morning I phoned the number and a man with rapid accented speech (name: A...? Foster) said he was from CRA, that my taxes 2009-14 had been audited and I owed $1498. When asked why I had received nothing in writing, he said a CRA agent "Jennifer Collett" had been to our home in March, April and June but when no one responded the documents were returned to CRA. When I said we were home those months etc. he hung up on me.

This is obviously a scam being perpetrated in the name of Canada Revenue Agency, and I feel sorry for unwitting people who would fall for this.

Why noone from officials takes care about this massive scam. My grandma got similar call from "Eric Foster on behalf of CRA" about "criminal investigation" against her. As result she had a very hard medical condition. We have to stop this!

Pretty much the same as everyone else... Claiming to be from the CRA and threatening to sic the Mounties and legal system on me for unpaid taxes. And they had left a message previously.  Boy, are they ever picking on the wrong cranky old lady ~ gonna hunt down my air horn for the next 'visit'.  Thanks for the info people have posted.  Keep it up!

Had the exact same call from "Eric Foster" 613-704-2174 claiming to be from Revenue Canada. I have filed a complaint with our local police department so they can spread the word about the scam.

Had the same call from "Eric Foster" claiming he is with Revenue Canada.   This is a scam and we have called the local Police, RCMP, and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.

Just had a msg left on my answering machine from 613-704-2174. A man's voice with a french accent, claimed he was from the CRA and that because of outstanding tax debt I, or my lawyer, would need to call the number given within 1 hour or face arrest and 90 days in jail. Have reported it to the actual CRA.

Amanda - I had the same call from "Eric Foster", yeah, like that's his name - how can we report this guy?  Would local police be interested in knowing about this?

Received call from listed # above on Nov 05.2015 13:00 PST. Caller Eric Foster from Criminal investigation department of Revenue Canada. How stupid, this guy was saying "You are receiving this call on Nov 02.2015 (Date is wrong!!)" . Eric Foster does not sound like native English speaker, sound like East Indian or having some kind of strong accent. I wonder how those guy choose the person to call?? How eliminate to receive these stupid calls?? Is anyone able to advise?

I have the same experience as all the rest of the posts...what triggered me that it was a scam was that he said that the Royal Canada Mounted Police will be after me.  lol ...idiots

Same thing said I was going to jail for tax

Just had a similar call today except the accent was heavily Irish. I was threatened with possible jail time if I didn't call back 614-704-2174 right away to arrange to pay an outstanding tax debt. Our taxes are paid on time and we have no tax debt. This is obviously a scam. I hope that CRA is taking action to have this stopped and the perpetrators arrested.

India-accented man named "Mr. WIlson" called us too. When I interrupted his CRA spiel to asked for his telephone number, he demanded "why do you need my number"?  I said I needed to check who he was purporting to be... then the line went dead. Sheesh.

Got several calls from these bottom feeders. Why can't they be stopped? He sounded like an Western European, had a strong accent and would not give me his name! This call should be traced and stopped. These calls have scared my wife.
