He said he is from Canada Revenue Agency. He would arrest me if I don't call him back.
This is a scam. Don't fall into the trap.

Got same call, dumbasses don't even use own voices any more....this is still it as good as the Indian sounding guy keeps calling me claiming to be officer James Morrison.... Thank you Canadian Government for your lack of caring when it comes to these scams.....

Robo call....automated voice started half way through the script stating if I do not call back immediately an arrest warrant will be issued.... Why won't our government show some [***] balls and stopped this harassment!?!?!  Arrest these scanners who are tricking the weak,  elderly and uninformed into giving up their life savings!!!

Same call but since he didn't provide any personal information I doubted it ..but for the first few seconds I was scared

Definitely a scam.  But very convincing.  I am sad to say, he had me online for 30 minutes - I actually felt scared.  I actually believed them; that is, until I heard a screen door slamming. (First mistake)  Definitely calling from somewhere warmer than here.  When I asked if this was a Corporate Tax or Personal Tax warrant, he got annoyed and yelled it was Federal Tax.  (Second mistake) Eventually they said I could settle out of court if I paid $4998 using BitCoin. (Third mistake - like really??)

Rather than hang up I led him along, pretending that I was going to pay.  Strung him along for other 5 minutes.  Each time I would pause and flush my toilet.  By the third flush he knew what the sound was.  Then I relieved myself making sure he heard all the details.  Now he was really annoyed and said they know my address and will arrest me immediately.  Good thing I used an old address.

These guys are really convincing.  But once you start asking questions, they sound like a bunch of elementary  school dropouts - you know the types.  But, they will dupe some people; because, once you start getting scared and panicky, you can't think straight.

So this scam has made it to Canada.  Crazy.  There's no way the government would EVER issue a call like this.  I've gone ahead and blocked the number.  You should too.

Same robotic voice.  This guy says if I don't call back that there would be an arrest warrant.  That doesn't sound legit because CRA doesn't work that way.  Clearly there has been a breach of confidential information.  How else did they get our numbers to call?  My number is not even listed.

I just got off the phone with CRA. (The real CRA) and they confirmed that these guys are scammers. For any issues regarding CRA, they will send you a letter in a brown envelope.They will not call you and harass you randomly like these guys do. Don't believe anything these scammers say to you and do NOT give out any personal information
