Received a threatening message from this number telling me to call back and if I don't wishing me good luck with the events that are 'about to unfold'

Same call as Paul - BC, Canada
automated caller, left me a voicemail.

It says the number is not in service. I just received the same call

I've been getting these calls since last year (2015) they call several days in a row and then quite for about 2 or 3 months & then it starts again.  I was bad enough they were calling me a home, now they're calling me at work... I have no idea how they got my work number.  I'm in Vancouver too.

Said I owed money to CRA as well , and that I or my lawyer needed to call them back right away. Funny it was a recording, and I do not owe any money. Also Canada revenue does not collect that way.

was called by someone claiming to be from CRA by the name of Liam Roy, his employee# 617892. Claimed I owed $2828 in taxes & CRA was going to seize my house. Called my accountant and he said it's a scam

Just so people are aware the CRA will not have anyone from law enforcement or military calling for them.  The people actually working for them are representatives.  As one person posted, anything to do with the government (such as the CRA) will not call at all.  They always send a letter.
The phone number 613 707 3973 called my husband and when I called back they did say it was the CRA but in my experience when calling the actual CRA it does have a different area code but mostly the numbers for them is an 800 number and they are all listed on their official website and if one still phone books they are listed in there as well.
Just hope that no one gets taken in by this scam and the RAMP can shut them down and charge them with fraud.

A second call with the EXACT same message on my machine again today... then I'm pretty sure they called again hours later, I didn't pick up, they called RIGHT BACK.

Same as the previous RCA tax fraud. Since I have no tax owing I am not concerned. They did leave a number and said in the message if I did not call back they would come after me. I just deleted the voice message.

Claimed Officer Alex from CRA and I was in trouble.  <Grin>

Had the exact same message as Paul today (Sept 30/16 @ 12:43pm)

I spoke to Peter Johnson and he as well told me that i was in trouble with the CRA, and that I needed a Lawyer to represent me in court as I "Owe" $3000. I tried to ask why I didnt receive any mail in regards to this and he could not give me  a straight answer and said he was disconnecting the call. The number was 1-613-707-3973

EXACT same message.  Officer Alex called me from the hotline division.

Received this call moments ago.  "Officer Alex of the hotline division" says I have to call him back.
