Voicemail received at about 11am, "officer Alex" is the culprit... the voicemail is set up to sound alarming (and it is at first), however as a few have pointed out the grammar on the message is pretty bad, "...the only thing I can do is to wish you a good luck." Lol yeah sure buddy ;). They wouldn't call like that, and if they did the message would have proper grammar in BOTH French and English.  I'm tempted to call back and get into it with the whatever criminal I get on the other end for an epic battle of words, but I think I'll just delete the message.

Received the same call and exactly the same message as everyone else that I owed CRA money which I don't owed anything. I think some one should report him/his number to CRA.

I received the exact same message on my phone this morning...I knew it was a scam, I just wanted to see which one it was since there are so many out there right now.

My son got this call today and was very afraid. He is FOURTEEN.

His call was the automated message from an Officer Alex, it was difficult to understand. He was told to contact the following number or have his attorney do so and if the call was not returned he could only wish him luck.

He was terrified someone was coming for him!

I am not impressed at all and want to know what to do of it keeps up. How do we help stop this?  Do I call the police?

I feel this has become a direct threat to a child.  It was not a vague message as if it were real. Before the threat is made, the recipient of the call isn't even verified! Again, unacceptable!

There was enough damage caused by this call today to issue a charge in addition to fraud.  My son felt he was in imminent danger and had to sit with this fear through school and travel home until he could play for me the recording and was able to assure him it wasn't real. We didn't hear any indication it may be CRA. It wad made to sound like a police officer was looking for him.

Got exactly the same message today...first they give me very quick missed call..once i called back he said he said speaking from CRA..i told him that he's stupid fellow it's impossible to reach CRA so quickly..that i'll complain about him..he was shameless fellow told me that whatever i want to do. i hung up the call.

just got off the phone with them didn't tell me what it was about said they sent me something this guys name was Jack Richard, but had a pakistanian sounding voice told me his badge number was 60578ro6. I told him to send the police to my door he told me they would be there in 45 minutes.  area code 613 is an ottawa area number. they had my name and address and said i signed something and committed fraud....wtf still don't know why they are calling me though

I just received the call. Guy said the cops would come if I didn't pay 3k....I replied "I am a cop."

He hung up instantly.

they left voice mail and automatic robot caller saying that i had commited tax fraud and need to call them.
I called them back and didint give any personal information, he said that dont run away police is coming to your door in 3 hours...it it was indian accent and it sounds like a legit call center in the back ground...I noticed it was scam right away and started playing with him.

I called the number and the guy asked for my name and postal code.  When I wouldn't give it he hung up on me.  I called back again, same guy and asked if it was a scam.  Hung up on me again so I called back again, same guy and said I was giving the cops his number and he should probably change it.  Laughed at me and said it wasnt a scam but I then hung up on him.

Just read your message. I was very concerned. The same guy told me everything that you said. Thanks for the heads up !!

Same as everyone else. CRA and they are coming for me.  How did the CRA get my cell number as I don't give it out to anyone. What a farce.  I blocked the calls after I got one at 5 am on a Saturday morning.
