(613) 801-xxxx is a Magic Jack exchange. Boy! The Mounties are really cutting corners!

A person claiming to be Jack Marshal from Revenue Canada called and said there is a federal and revenue case against me , he asked if I was aware of the charges....I laughed and cut the line.

Luckily I speak the same language as these scammers so I asked them, "in all honesty, what the hell are you doing and why are you trying to scam people?"...the guy said that they are just doing it for the money and they try and make about close to $1000 a month doing this. The guy also said their "boss" is the one who has a target they must reach, etc...bottom line is he said that they won't stop trying to scam until they meet their quota.

I also forgot to mention that the call is spoofed...as in the #, they are located in Lahore, Pakistan.

Micheal Black, a police constable, called my wife while I was out of city. Told her the same CRA story and asked to deposit money otherwise police will be on the doorsteps in half an hour. She called me to confirm and I told her right away that it was a scam. Also, searched this number on Internet and got confirmation from this site.

Jack Wilson claiming to be from the Federal Crime called and stated that it was a legal emergency. I called back and he told me that i did not file form 61 T2 in 2010 and CRA has filed charges against me. That i could be arrested if i don't resolve and pay a penalty of $3299.00. That the call is being recorded by RCMP and if i hang up, they will be at my door with my arrest warrant. I told him that i will have my lawyer call him back. I called CRA and informed them about this scam.

We have received a similar call from 613-801-0152, threatening the RCMP would arrest my father because some tax form was not filed. I called the number back requesting identification and was told to hang up.

I have called the RCMP and the CRA and reported the incident, I hope to see "Jack Wilson" arrested for impersonation of the authorities and threatening calls being placed.

my wife received  phone call from 613-801-0152 number this morning claiming to be a CRA officer asking over $2000 in outstanding balance to be paid in 20 mins or police will be dispatched to your location in 30 mins. i called the person back asking for reference # and mailed notice. so called CRA officer hung up my call. i called local police department and they inform me its been going on for a little while and nothing to be worried abt. its just a scam.

same called to friend , Asking ur computer has captured from RCMP and u have to surrender at police station..............

Some jerk/prankster (Alex) called and left a voicemail message for me on my home number asking that I or my lawyer call back within 30 minutes or else I will be arrested in 30 minutes. The [***] asked that I drive myself to the nearest police station and surrender myself or else. Needless to say we immediately googled the number and found this forum full of names that are immigrants and the idiots may have assumed that we are not smart enough to figure this out. I wonder how many others have fallen victim to this scam and paid up???

Same [***] happened to me today April 17th 2014, someone named Alex called me and said . . . he is calling from CRA and I have federal charges and if I don't pay within 45 mins, police will be at me door step. First I asked myself do I owe any . . .  so the answer is 0.00. I told this guy "send the police I am waiting"
Just ignore these people who enjoy giving pain to others.
