I picked up and they hung up.

I have had many calls from this # at various times of day..usually around 6pm but tonite just before 9pm. Usually 2 rings & they hang up, couple of times when I answered they hung up. Tonite male voice actually said 'hello'........Not a Western accent, if you get my drift.

I do not believe it is the P.C.s     No political party is dumb enough to do this.  Someone is  hiding in order to scam you.

RMG is the company which handles these calls. They merged with XenTel DM and now are now called iMarketing Solutions - XenTel DM were fined $500,000 by CRTC for previous calling violations in 2010.

In the last two days, I have received 3 calls, I don't have a phone in my bedroom, so I have to come to the
living room (early morning or later in the evening) just to see a stupid # on my display, they will not leave a
message. Why are they calling if they have nothing to say!  Very annoying.

Political parties are exempt from the DNC list.

I sent a note to the Conservative Party to request that these calls be stopped - although I don't think it is really from them - could be another political party trying to give the Conservatives a bad reputation?

613-801-0497 has been calling repeatedly for weeks now. I do not normally answer unknown numbers or area codes especially, but the repeat calls have been really annoying, so I answered today.A woman asked for a member of our house by first name, I said they weren't home and asked if they wanted to leave a message, but then she asked for two other members of our house and I was one of those. When I identified myself as that person, the woman told me it was a recorded call and she said something about calling from the Conservative Party and something about the Harper government. Then she asked me "Are you a supporter of the Ontario PC Party?" Since I live in BC and the Ontario partis have nothing to do with me, I replied "I'm not in Ontario." She immediately, without even saying thank you or goodbye, hung up. How rude! But perhaps, if they are keeping notes, maybe they will stop calling now?

Usually I don't answer these unknown calls, but since it was a 613 area code, curious, I did!  I was addressed by my full name, then I listened to his speel which was a total smear against the opposition and Mulcair saying Mulcair wants  Canada to pay for "bogus" claims for health costs, from illegal immegrants, etc., and then he said, "since I am a friend of the Harper government, would I contribute $200, 300 or more to stop this evil Mulcair".

If this is sponsored by the federal government, how did they get my name?  Is it being paid for by our tax dollars?
If this is from our Government, I feel they've gone about as low as possible, and I believe their message is not true, out and out lies and it is dispicable!  How stupid do they think the general public is?

In area code (613) the 801 exchange is a magic jack phone number. You can do a search on the internet for magic jack phone numbers. Good thing to know. It is possible these "political polls" calls are really debt collectors trolling for information.

They get your name from the federal and provincial enumerators compiling/updating voter lists. The enumerators are now told to ask for home and cellphone numbers which are then given to the parties who will give phone lists to their telemarketers. That's how they know the names & address of the people they call. And political parties are exempt from the Do Not Call list ! (No surprise since they made the rules)

I live in Quebec and they just called. I answered, a woman said twice "Hello?" and then hung up. I'm so tired of these prank calls.

Been receiving calls from that # for months..even late nights. Someone has to knock them off.
