They called my cell phone with the voice belonging to a male, possibly middle aged. Claims to be working for getting donations for firefighters. I would have left it then and there if he wasn't so pushy in trying to get donations which set off alarm bells in my head. The caller was constantly trying to guilt trip me into sending money (Which i didn't have at the time) and even after I made it clear I couldn't do the first donation, he tried to guilt trip me again into a lesser sum with the tale of firefighters risking their lives and running into burning buildings. (I respect firefighters, but trying to guilt trip me on their honor is such a scumbag thing to do.) I made it clear I had no money to give and he seemed to be annoyed but wished me good day.

I had received the same caller and the same script around 9:20 in the evening. Manipulative scammer, I have never received a telemarketer this late at night.

Since the first caller identified this as a charity call, then no telemarketers were involved since they were not selling anything.

Same experience, when I asked if I could donate online I was told the website wasn't working.  Very pushy and kept on lower the price.

That man has a fake profile on dating sites internationally, he's a scammer. He's pretending he's looking for the love of his life, willing to relocate, etc. He presents himself under a profile of Albert Killian, geologist. Don't trust him.
