Received a call from a female demanding to know how to reach my son. This person was extremely rude and demanding. She even said "Why don't you quit watching tv, get off your [***] and get a job." FYI - I own a Private Investigation company, and I am also the retired Police Chief of a Mid to Large Police Department.
I intend to follow this up and I think that they will think twice before calling me again!

We have disputed debt with Bobcat of St. Louis, MO.  A woman called from there and held herself out to be an attorney with the firm Goldstein & Blatt.  We explained to her that we had a valid dispute and an attorney and provided that information to her.  She said she wanted to "keep us in the loop."  We explained that is why we pay our lawyer.  This company is a violator of the FDCPA and, like many others, should be stopped.  Their fax number to send cease and desist letters is 614-336-1150.

This woman called and left a message much like one of the other messages mentioned previously. She was EXTREMELY RUDE and told me the same thing - tole me to get off the couch and turn off the TV and GET A JOB (which was repeated several times). We owe a debt to an accounting firm but just simpley have not had the money to pay the bill. She says things like, get off your *** - just not professional AT ALL. To tell you the truth, I refuse to talk to her one more time. WHEN the money is there, we will not go through them, but pay directly to the person we owe for her services.

Don't expect to use someones time and energy doing your accounting work just for you to stiff them.  They could have worked for someone else and gotten PAID  like you said you would do.  Stop whining like a 2 year old and get a J_O_B!

I haven't had a CALL from this number, but I was emailed on Facebook about a distant relative (with the same last name) telling me to have my relative call immediately or they would proceed.  I have no idea what is at issue, but I am incensed that they saw fit to message anyone who was a friend of my relative on Facebook and tell them this.  It is dirty and underhanded.

A woman called from this number. She asked for my boss and I told her he wasn't available. She told me to tell him that "Tylina Powell" called. She spoke so quickly and didn't enunciate so I asked her to repeat her first name. I still didn't understand, so I asked her name again. She became very aggravated and quickly spelled it out for me. I apologized for not being able to understand her and mentioned that she had an uncommon name. She snapped back at me and told me I should have "sounded it out". At this point, I had enough of her attitude and told her there was no reason for her to be so rude and asked her if I could help her with something. She hung up. She never told me where she was calling from or what she wanted.

This lady with the name of "Tylina Powell" has called me repeatedly from more than one caller I.D location. She is very rude. She asked to speak to my husband and I told her that he was at the marina. A few days later she calls back again and asks for my husband, but this time she says "where is he, at the marina drinking coffee and gossiping?" I said yes he is at the marina drinking his coffee. I've asked her several to send me a bill and she says she has. She said that it wasnt her fault that the mail man didnt get it to me. She then replies, "i will take care of you on monday." (today is saturday) Later on in the day my husband comes home to tell me that when he was drinking his coffee at the marina, the cashier tells him he has a phone call. It was Tylina. She tells him to quit sitting on his a** drinking coffee and get a job! Now if i have done my research correctly, she is violating the FDCPA. No collection agency is suppose to call you at any unusual place or hunt you down for that matter. I have no idea how she even knew which marina he was at, there are alot around here. I myself am sick and on hospice, and he is 75. What kind of job does she want him to get?

Sooo...this collection agency is actually publishing AND sharing with MILLIONS of people the names of consumers they are dunning on a community website.

    ILLEGAL, ILLEGAL, ILLEGAL!

COMMUNICATION WITH THIRD PARTIES.  Except as provided in section 804, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a postjudgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than a consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.

    806.  Harassment or abuse  [15 USC 1692d]

She's just some annoying nobody who didn't go to college and is in the trashy profession of debt collecting. Big deal. We called the company she was collecting for and they filed a complaint against her when we did!

Wondering where you can find her? Try looking in the checkout lines at Walmart on the first of the month...

She still works there.  I received a call from her today telling me to get off the couch and get a job.  She left it in a voicemail and I saved it for my attorney.  Our company has been going through financial difficulties this year, as has everyone, and we are reorganizing the business so we can actually get a gameplan together to pay off our creditors.  However, she feels the needs to call us irresponsible and lazy.  I think doing something to fullfill my promises, even if it does take some time, is better than not doing anything at all, and so does my business attorney.  This type of collection practice has no class whatsoever and the company she works for should think better of having those type of business practices allowed.
