We have been being harassed by "Karen" for a couple of weeks now. She has now begun calling my husband from my own phone number somehow, as well as my business partner. How is that possible or legal??? She was EXTREMELY rude, obnoxious, insulting and offensive when I did speak with her on the phone and she ended up hanging up on me.

Then I spoke to a man, not sure what his name was, Thomas Stone??? And he was rude as well and repeatedly stated that they were a commercial firm and had no laws. How is this okay????

this hosbag is not calling from this number she is illegaly useing the caller id on our phones not to just call us under another name but also to call other numbers on your phone's memory,freind's,relatives.I know this is illegal.This company does'nt care about Better Buisiness Bureau,so I will have to find another way to report their illegal activity.I also read on another post online that Tylina Powell owes her mother $11,000.00

My 80 plus old parents in Cleveland got a phone call to have me call her!  And the same day she left a message on my 16 year old son's cell phone??????  Never called me!  Is that harassment?  Wasn't even my bill.  Someone needs to stop this woman

Hey if you would return her calls and talk to her maybe set up arranged payments she wouldn't have to be rude she is a nice lady to me because i did what i said i was going to do and paid my bills

Hi i am a fellow debt collector like mentioned tylina powell. She did not say that anyone owes a debt therefore not violating any fdcpa act.  You have just assumed that it would be a debt collection matter.  She actually has never said a curse word over the phone so you people should get a job and stop complaining.

What's the matter, is this site making it hard to trick people out of money on the phone? I'm sure you couldn't get a "real job" if you tried. Hey, shouldn't you get back to the boiler room now, your crack pipe's getting cold!

A woman called to my sister at work - mentioned "Goldberg" and something. She was looking for my sister's ex-husband (from many years back) and was very rude to my sister - actually yelled at her. I am an attorney and want to send these people a nice letter. Can you give me any more detail as to their firm's name? Also, woman said her name was "Selena Powell".

I have been getting the same calls. It is the same situation, I am not on the bill nor do I have anything to do with it. She is extreamly rude and told me the same thing to get off my butt jey a job, quit playing on the computer and Face Book, and watching TV. When I asled to speak to a supervisor and told him I didn't want to recieve any more calls and it had nothing to do with me he said yes it did because it was my boyfriends bill. Then proceeded to tell me he didn't care what I wanted they would continue to call me untill it got him to pay his bill. They pulled my public records to use to threaten me with too. The supervisor even went as far as saying how are you going to pay for an attorney he said how are you going to do that if you cant pay your bill's what are you going to do give them a bad check. I did contact an attorney and was told they are breaking the Fair Credit Act to Reasonable treatment or somthing on the lines of that, I can't remember the exact wording but it is a federal law and they are breaking it. i was also informen it is against the law not only the harassment in general but to involve a 3rd party not on the account. She advised me to contact my local Secratary of State, Coumty Attorney, and the BBB. I hope this helps, thats what I am going to try to do.

In some of our cases it isn't even our bill's we are being harassed about so we are not making up excuses but valid complaints. We shouldn't have to deal with call's like that from a person being rude and disrespectfull to us about a bill that isn't our's!

Tylina Powell is now working with Recovery One and using same tactics - left a message on my phone saying she is not my secretary and not her job to remind me to pay my bills. I am paying monthly so she can threaten with lawyers all she wants.  Interesting to find this site.  She is rude and should be investigated for violating the law in her dealings with clients.

yes she has, and after researching the legal "don'ts" of debt collecting calls she has violated a few.

I got the same type of call... She was quite the BI**H! She asked me why i screened my calls!! When I asked her how she got my number, why she was harassing me, and why she was calling from numbers that are people I know! She got very nasty and hung up on me! I called her back multiple times and same thing happens she gets nasty, yells at me, wont answer my questions and hangs up! Very unprofessional I really don't think she's legit I feel its a scammer!

SAME THING WITH ME!!! What a awful unprofessional person! I really don't think their business is even legit!

To be a client you would have to pay your bills, and on time..

At least she's working......to pay her debts, unlike some people on here (and yes I'm including myself in that comment, she's calling me too). Never dismiss a working person because of the job that they do. We all do what we need to get by.

WOWWWW unknown! We could never have guessed that you are probably the collector that these people are complaining about. Try not to be so obvious.

Just go to their offices and sit outside. She shouldn't be hard to identify- it is a small company. Approach her and speak to her in person. I bet she changes her tune!!! LOL Or, if you're bored- tail her home, get descriptions of her car, her house, and her family. Next time she calls, let her know YOU know where SHE lives. She's not so tough, trust me.
