- JeffCalled tonight....called me by name and said that he was from "telecom" or something like that on behalf fo some sort of children's charity. Said it so fast you could barely understand him. That's as far as he got before I told him that i don't take solicitation calls on my home phone and please remove my number from their list, goodbye> and then I hung up.
DON'T GIVE THESE GUYS TIME TO TALK SO THEY CAN'T RESPOND TO YOU.
Since they consider themselves a "chartiy" they are exempt from the Do Not Call list UNTIL you tell them to remove your name. These "police charities" are nothing more than a business making money off the police name. They give a VERY SMALL portion of their collections to the charity. (something like 15%) and they pocket the rest as "expenses."
Tell them that to give you the name of the charity and you will donate directly to the charity and they will go nuts on you....sometimes even hang up.- Caller: Solicitation for money
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ChipCalled, never heard of them before, locksmith asap locksmith. teddy bears for kids in accidents, drives for poor kids at Christmas, all kinds of stuff I did not understand. We give all of our money for kids to the established charities including Lutheran Social Services, the Mid Ohio Food bank etc. this is something off the wall?? there is an asap locksmith in Columbus but that is not their number. I just hung up because he kept pitching, and pitching and would not let me say anything. obnoxious. I hate so called charity callers who will not even allow you to say anything, they just keep reading their script.
- Caller: dont know
- DebCalled at 2:54 pm on February 1st. ASAP Locksmith in Columbus, OH. If this is a land line why can't the phone company shut them off? Do the DNC government staff ever check the comments on this site? With all the technology today, there must be a way to stop these scammers.
- Caller: ASAP Locksmith

- Chief Charles F. Hitzel IV| 3 repliesI am a retired police chief in Ohio and the Ohio Cops for kids is a legitimate charity that is registered with the AG and the IRS as a 501C3 charity. They primarily utilize their funds for shop with a cop and the buckeye teddy bear program. If you all would focus more on helping children in your community and not slandering Ohio's number one children's charity we would all be a part of a better community in Ohio, seriously people, do your research.
- Bobb replies to Chief Charles F. Hitzel IV| 1 replyWTF?
- James Bond replies to Chief Charles F. Hitzel IVYou can be anything you want on the internet, huh Chucky? LOL!

- Lawman replies to BobbLooks like Chief Hitzel is under investigation by the Ohio Attorney General calling this a “Total Sham.” I wonder why Hitzel only said he was a “retired police Chief in Ohio” on here, when he actually is the person running this suspected scam ? 11/30/2017
