Called not message

Answered. Claimed they were talking local donations for firefighters who had died and their families.. as well as helping build apartments for homeless people. Told them I had no money, guy just hung out.

Recvd call at 6:21 pm. I do not answer calls from unknown numbers, did not leave a vm.

Got a call saying he was a police officer and they were collecting money for local police. Then gave certain donation amounts and they would mail me a 'official' letter for me to submit for a tax refund. He then transferred me to some woman who was asking for my address and how much I would like to donate. I said I would prefer to donate at a local event they would be present at within the community and that this phone conversation did not seem legit. She stated that 'maybe we will try and give you a call another time' and hung up.

Call from a "police officer" asking for donations from the local community. When I accepted I was transferred to a woman who asked for my address to send the official letter. Both the man and woman asked multiple times if I was sure I was comfortable with the amount I had said I could donate. Then the woman asked "Are you ensuring us that you will send your money back to us as soon as you receive the letter?". At this point I was annoyed and that is obviously not something someone really trying to get donations would say, so I hung up.

Caller claimed to be from an organization that supports police officers killed in the line of duty, their families and underfunded police departments. They listed various dollars amounts and asked how much I wanted to give. I said, four times, I could not commit to a dollar amount over the phone and wanted them to send me documentation before sending money. They continued to pressure me for a dollar amount so I just hung up. It's a scam. You can tell the responses are recorded; there's a lag in response as the caller looks for an appropriate response to statements or questions.

Robo call that sounds very real. Some made up company asking for donations for families of fallen police officers. It's disgusting how someone could stoop so low

Clearly a scam. It's a shame scumbags come out of the woodwork to take advantage of this difficult time in our country. I hope the get caught, and if not, please God give them cancer.

I don't wish fatal conditions, even on thes lowlife scum. Incurable hemroids and a touch of untreatable runs would suffice. 😀

These low life scum called twice, once on my cell phone and once on my wife's. They scam to steal funds from survivors -- how low can a person get??

Received call with "Hello" from a live male person, but he left line when I I.D.'d my name (waiting on medical referral call or I wouldn't have answered).  The above notes indicate this is a number used by scammers.

Received scam solicitation from fake police officer for funds.  7:46 pm July 11 2016.

I just got a call at 8:50 est from this number! I usually don't answer unknown numbers but recognized area code from an area I was expecting call.  When I finally answered there was an hesitation since he didn't think I answered. He did say was his name was John, had a nice deep voice that sounded fake, said he was calling for the American police officers and sheriffs so I thought, oh no, they are coming for me! Then said he was soliciting donations for those that has fallen in the line of duty..would I like to give 100, 75 or 35, they would send me a letter so I can get a tax write off.  I said none, I don't have at this time and he said maybe during their next campaign.  I said I will check with my local police and there was hesitation, no response, I thought he hung up but mins was still going so I hung up!
