    Fed Up
COMENITY CALLED MY NUMBER 30 Times today and 29 Times yesterday.  Every day they call me more and more.  They never leave a message.  They call as early as 8 a.m. and as late as 9pm 7 days a week.  One time they called me 6 Times within 5 minutes.   I have several credit cards and have never been late.  I will pay these all off soon and never do business with them again.  This is insane and it needs to stop.

I recently lost my job and spoke to Comenity about this stating that I may have trouble making payments on time.  They were fine as long as I checked in with them once a week.  Deal.  All was fine for 2 months.  then, they started calling everyday and not leaving messages from their 614 number.  when i would pick up, it was silence.  I called back and spoke to the person that I had been dealing with and he said it was a computer over site.  I gave them that.   But, the next week it continued, the following week it continued.  I would mention every time I called to make a weekly payment that I was able to afford.  They said it was again a computer problem since the debt was paid in full.   Then, 2 weeks ago I received a call from their collection agency a Ms. Whitton, who said they would see legal action if I did not pay in full at that moment.   I clearly stated that I had been dealing with them and making payments, but she rudely threatened me, calling me a deadbeat and bum... yes bum and said that she and Comenity had the authority to call family and friends and notify them that I was not paying my bills ( which I had  through the arrangement ).  Ok, from my perspective, I was doing the right thing... I didn't know I was going to lose my job, I paid them what I could, kept them informed and this happened?     after consulting a friend in the legal profession, i found out this is unlawful, however, its a big bank, they have the means to do whatever they wish to screw you even though, they write off these company losses and get federal tax breaks.   I can't afford to pay this credit card off now so I surely can't afford a lawyer to fight.   I understand this is my debt and my responsibility, but these banks and institutions need to get organized and keep their word and not make up their own rules.    My advise, when asked at a store if you would like to sign up for their credit card, JUST SAY NO.  you may lose your job and be in my situation and I do not wish this on my worst enemy... which is right now, Comenity.

I too got many of these calls.   Finally answered.  They represent many companies( hsn, Victoria secret and many more..). I was missing a payment and that is why they were calling.  I asked about leaving no messages and she said it is an automated system and if no one answers it will not leave a message unless someone answers  And they have many offices they call from.

    Get Over It
If you are getting calls from Comenity, pay your bills on time. If you don't have any business with them, let them know that they have the wrong number and they will mark it down so you don't get anymore calls. It is not a human dialing your number, it is an automatic dialer. That is why when you answer, no one is there. You have to wait a second for it to connect you with an account manager. The calls will stop when you pick up the phone and actually speak to someone about the issue with your account. And I've looked it up, it's not harassment if you owe a debt. It is only harassment if you ask them to stop calling you on that number and they continue to do it. So all of you on here who think you are going to sue them for harassment, good luck with that. I've learned my lesson, pay your bills and you won't get any calls about it being late. It's that easy.

Comenity Bank started calling this morning (Saturday, April 12, 2014) at 8:37a (913)312-5172 (Kansas City, MO) , 9:02am from (720)456-3697 (Denver, CO), 10:01am (913)312-5172 (Owens Corning) and again at 11:24am (614)212-7530 (SEARCHTOCLOSE).  The bill was paid, it did not hit their system yet.  The bill was not due until May 2, 2014.  Time to get rid of my Pier1 and Victoria Secret cards.  It is not worth the hassle.
