- lynn replies to RyannFound this online:*1 Plaintiff Romulo Barela ("Barela" or "Plaintiff") sued defendants Experian Information Solutions, Inc. ("Experian"), and WFNNB/American Home Furnishings ("WFNNB"). Barela alleged violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (Count I) and defamation (Count II) against Experian, and violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act against WFNNB (Count III). Barela has since settled his claim against Experian, which is no longer a party to the suit. The case is before the Court on the motion ("Motion") of WFNNB to dismiss pursuant to Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 12(b)(3) and 12(b)(6), or in the alternative, to transfer this matter to the United States District - sounds like they are a collection agency. They have called me 3-4 x/day for a week = no message - I don't owe money.

World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB) will take credit for the credit it extends. The company is the private-label and co-branded credit card banking subsidiary of Alliance Data Systems. - FeleciaI got a call with no message left - didn't answer. Ignore the calls. I think it's one of those scam/fishing rings.

Keith - Bruce Bryan replies to AbbyGWhat a bunch of BS ....... no one keeps calling for anything other than they are looking for someone.
- GlowWorld Financial Collection - They never leave a message, and if they do it's an "official sounding" lady's voice with an English accent: " Hello........ This is NOT a sales solicitation...... Please hold for a very important message........." Then there is silence and it disconnects. It's always the same computer recording.
They have been calling me from 7 different numbers and I do not owe them any money. In fact they have sent me a letter stating that I have a $5.00 credit and the letter shows in their computer. When I talked to 2 different callers from two different numbers at two different occasions they both said they could see this letter in their computer but "headquarters" (whoever this is?) had overruled this letter.
Go figure. I just ignore these computer calls now. Answering is a waste of time (I have probably spent 4 hours over the last year trying to resolve it and even sent a letter from my attorney). We are now pursuing legal action to stop these annoyance calls since they are turning into harassment.- Caller: World Financial

- DaniCalls EVERY day-No Message. crazy!!! Isn't this illegal? Contact Ohio Sate Attorney's Office to report them for harrassment!!
- NancyI've been receiving 4 or 5 calls per day for the past 4 days from (913) 563-5502, (913) 563-5520, (614) 729-6042, (304) 738-4228, and (305) 587-2194. All of them show up on my caller ID as World Financial, and they never leave a message. I picked up the phone twice without saying anything and the caller hung up. If it's a collection agency, they've been calling the wrong person because I'm not delinquent on any payments. Besides, collection agencies leave messages with phone numbers to call them back. It's more than likely customer service representatives calling, via dialer system, from various call centers owned by the 1% financial corporations, wanting to victimize more of our 99% unsuspecting American citizens. If it continues, I will report them to the Attorney General's Office, and I suggest you all do the same. This incessant calling constitutes harassment.

- JR replies to doug d| 1 replyDoug D --- Same thing is happening to me. With all those same phone #'s. When I answer, they hang up. How annoying........Cant anything be done about this?
- Doug D replies to JRJr, well if your not on a list by a collection agency and if your number is not on the national do not call list I would start by adding it to the do not call list. On that site you can also report a complaint about abuse. I would say world financial is an abusive company. Open a complaint against them.
You can also get a good voip phone service like vonage or viatalk. I have blocked them hard on my voip system so all the get is a repeating "blacklisted" message from me .. its actually quite relieving to know I put the hammer down on them.
So national do not call list first. report them on that.
You can also do some research and see where they are located (but do roaches really have a home?)
If you can find their home base see if the local police department near there will allow opening touble tickets online. Report them there too!
Last resort get a lawyer !
Good luck!
