I am on the National Do Not Call list, I have informed these people of this and they continue to call.Nashville

I answered and the caller was not rude. I told them I would donate only if I could find out how much of my donation actually went to the Firefighters. Information that came in the mail from the solicitor said Nashville Firefighters Assoc. Local 140. After a number of online searches I found the phone number belongs to Fireco, LLC in Franklin, TN a legit telemarketing company. However, based on reports filed with the state of TN (state.tn.us), the charity (Nashville Firefighters Union) gets 15% of the donation and the company gets 85%. When I tried to get this info from the representative who called, he either didn't know or would not say. I printed out a copy of the report and returned it to the company with their solication form (and without a donation!)and requested that my phone number and name be taken off of their list! Not sure if that will finally get my number off their call list!

I posted the note below and see that the address for the TN state web site did not insert properly. You can find a number of reports for Fireco LLC (they solicit for several firefighter unions). Hopefully this link works.

got a call from this number today and the man on the other end of the phone was clearly talking to someone sitting next to him,,,,after I said hello 2 or 3 times, he hung up.

I get calls from this number and also the other mentioned (361....)  We donate to our local volunteer fire department each year, in person.  They come to the door and are very nice about it.  If my house was ever burning down, those are the guys I would be begging to come and HELP!  LOL

They called and when I answered they hung up!!!!!!! STOP CALLING ME,..........

They called about 7"15 PM.
Picked up the receiver on the last ring, dial tone.
I Called back immediately thinking it was someone else. Immediately and no one answered. I am on the US and TN no call list.

They keep calling and I don't answer because I know that the Firefighters don't get the entire donation. I let the calls go to my answering machine but they never leave a message.

They are getting ready to change their telephone # again folks! 615-515-4779 is going to be changed very soon.  Will update with new number.

No, the DO NOT CALL registry does not apply to "charitable" organizations.  But you can ask them to take you off of their list and they must comply or pay a huge fine if they call you back.

My phone rang 3 times at 1 PM and they had hung up before I could answer. Caller I.D. showed 615-515-4779 and when i tried ti call it back immediately I got a number is disconnected or no longer in service? I figure it was some sort of an auto-dialer for soliciting funds.

I would like to stop calls from solicitors to donate money.

Guys you're getting way overworked about this.  If you ask them to ToL (Take off List) they will oblige.  Though I am no way affiliated with the organization I do respect folks doing a tough job that most others won't.  I mean look, would you rather get a call to help your local fire fighters from a hard working American trying to feed his family and pay bills, or have another non-working schmuk at the unemployment line taking your tax dollars.  Be nice, be polite, ask for what you want and you will get it.  I mean look at Hawkeye up there, what a blow up...over what?  You got a call?  Get over it, or better yet lose your landline and it's no problem.  Or you think it's so bad here?  Move to Rwanda I bet you won't get these calls there...

They are a legit organization. It is the Nashville Fire Fighters Association. They are part of the Fire Fighter's union here in Nashville and Davidson County. They support all of the fire departments in and around Middle Tennessee. They put on two charity concerts a year for around $26 a ticket. Not a bad deal. The concerts usually feature acts like Collin Raye, Roy Clark, Aarron Tippen, The Tempations Review, and others.The proceeds from the concerts go to different charities that the Firefighters sponsor.

Then try answering your phone!  And you would know, that it is what they say it is.

The real Firefighters have everyone's name, number and address, which is how they are able to call you.  By law, they cannot contact you personally by phone however, they have others to call on their behalf.  You would be surprised to know, just how much of you're donation goes to the causes that our brave firefighters are out there donating their free/off time to help these programs exist.

DO NOT call us again!!!!
