    Got a call on a Friday. Said that my case was going for depositions the next Monday, but if I paid $100 by Monday morning she would fill out paperwork to the lawyers to stop the proceedings. They might still ignore it and go to court anyway.  She claimed that if I came up with the money before 11:00 am on Monday she would go to bat for me but no assurances. Like a fool I bought the story and was so upset it flaired up a terminal disease I have that weekend.  I borrowed $100 from my son and paid her on Monday morning.  She claimed to have to fill out the paperwork and get it to their lawyers ASAP and that was the last I have communicated with them.  I was supposed to pay them more two weeks later but I did not call and they have not been in touch with me since that deadline three days ago.
