Local Hope House decries donor drive by Atlanta charity

Angela Slack, Maury County Hope House executive director, said an Atlanta-based non-profit organization — also using the name Hope House — has been seeking donations from citizens in Maury, Williamson and Davidson counties. Both organizations provide treatment and assistance for domestic violence victims, according to the agencies’ websites.

Slack began receiving notifications from friends regarding the confusion about six weeks ago, she said. Solicitors instructed would-be donors to place items on the curbside for pickup at a later date. The donations were never picked up, Slack said.

“The biggest concern and the most immediate concern for us right now is the confusion this is causing. I clearly do not want that negativity associated with our agency,” she said. “We do not solicit donations in that manner. We just don’t do business like that, and I don’t think its right to do business like that.”

I get a call from 615-613-0713 every single day, They do not say a word when my answer machine picks up. I am on the no call list. Why do they keep calling? My caller ID shows Hope House on it.

I get calls from this number 2 to 4 times a day - even late at night.  I have requested they take my number off of their list - very annoying.

CROOKS who use a good name to run a scam.  If they were LEGIT, they would NOT call after agreeing not to!!!  THUS, they are CROOKS!!!!  Legitimate non-profits DO NOT operate this way!!!

Claim to be a local Nashville agency, but when I returned their call, it was a Memphis number.  Can you say FRAUD?

"Hope House" continues incessant late evening calls EVEN AFTER we asked them to STOP!!!  ARGHHHHH!!!!

Just because they CLAIM to be a home for battered women is no more PROOF than all the calls for police this and police that.

Have been receiving calls from this number, (615) 613-0713, for weeks--almost daily.  The Caller ID shows Hope House as the owner of the number, but when we actually answer the call, no one says anything.

Caller ID shows 'Hope House'.  While Hope House is a legitimate charity, their number is being spoofed by hackers, and is not actually coming from Hope House.
It's a shame that a legitimate charity is suffering because some hackers hijacked their phone number.

John,  read  fivekatz  last sentence again.  He didn't say that the caller was legit.  He said that it was a shame that a legitimate charity such as "Hope House"   was suffering because their number was being spoofed by a hacker... He was referring to the people calling everyone,  including you,  and spoofing the charity hope house.

Get solicitation phone calls 2 - 3 X/day tried to block call on Att landline but still getting the calls

got a call at 5 till 9 in the evening from this 615 613 0713, Hope showing in the ID, asked why calling so late and he said with his mouth full of food that it was his job. I told him I asked him how did you get this number to call and he said I was in the system. I wonder what system that would be....

I have repeatedly told these people to not call me! I drive an eighteen wheeler and they are calling me in the middle of my sleep cycle and I can not get back to sleep! Would you want to be driving beside an eighteen wheeler who has not slept that night? I have told them this and they only called more often! I am on the Do Not Call Registry but these cretins are evil

They just never give up. Morning/night, twice a day for 2 weeks.

Donation reminder. Except I never before heard of this organization. Next time will let answering machine catch the call.

They are at it again!  I had them blocked for awhile but had unblocked to add others within Comcast miserly 25. Blocked them again since they are a major annoyance. They reek of SCAM!

This call is NOT from MISSION of Hope. I called and talked to a very nice lady there who says she gets complaint calls all the time, but it's NOT the same place.

They just never give up. No matter how many times you tell them 'remove me' from your calling list.

This is a very disrespectful number and if it truly is for HOPE, then they are hopeless!!!...Please do something to stop the harassing calls day and night!!!!...this is sickness in its worst way!
