Male voice with strong India or Jamacian accent, very difficult to understand.  Identified himself as "Officer Peter Black". He pronounced my last name incorrectly and called on a work issued cell phone.  He stated my name and number was in an affidavit related to a "police case" and he was trying to locate "Debra Ridella" as she was a "prime suspect" in this case.He did not know if she was my "family or friend".  He stressed I might be facing litigation and consequences if I did not return this call. He further advised me not to erase this message. He gave his name and phone number as 615-732-4170' and stated "have a nice day".

I received a message on my phone from someone who identified himself as Officer Black. However, he has a "HEAVY" accent maybe of Arabic, Jamaican or perhaps Indian. He left a message that my name and social security is involved in some type of legal serious matter, and if I want help, I need to call this number because he has been unable to reach me. He went on to say, if I did not return the call he would be unable to help me with a serious huge legal problem and that I need to be honest with myself before I find myself in a huge legal matter. I had to play this message over 20 times to understand this man.

Me too except that I was going to be put behind police bars and would be in trouble for life and that I should hire a very good attorney I would love to meet this a@%#hole and kick his ass.

I got a call on my job.  My co-worker took the message.  He too had a very strong accent. He said he was from American Legal Services.   He told her if I didn't call back the I would probably be arrested in the morning.  Not really sure what to do on this.  Just want the calls to stop.

I just looked up American Legal Services which is where these calls keep coming from.  On the Web page, they have a Scam Alert.  This is what it says:

There is currently an offshore scam. These scammers claim to be from American Legal Services. They call people telling them that they must send money today or they will be arrested tomorrow. If you are called by these people, do not give them credit card or any other numbers.

Get the address they want you to send the money to, then call your local F.B.I. and report them immediately.

This is second round with this group.  First time a woman was doing the calling.  She had a VERY "American" name, but such a heavy Arab or Indian accent you could barely understand her.  Contacted my local police department, not much help.  But after telling the woman that I knew it was a scam and had contacted the police, she stopped calling.  Now calls have begun again.  This time "Eric West" (again, so heavy on middle eastern accent you can't understand half what he says), followed by "Officer Steve Jones" (same accent) who has threatened my job and having the local police show up at my home and my work place.  I called him back the last time, told him it was nothing but a scam and it better stop.  Police had been contacted.  I was going to contact the FBI, and gave him the name of my attorney, at which time the phone got VERY static-y and he said to have my attorney call him...  Lastly I invited him down to my house for a good old-fashioned country boy butt whooping.  He hung up.

One of those didn't like my response and ended up telling vulgarities that I should do to him and vice versa. That is when I found this site for reported numbers. I am 72 years of age and a senior citizen that did not use good judgement back then, but now after reading your message I finally got some answers. I did try to report to local police also to no avail. Shall try your suggestions and when I get to a real puter will try to print your message.
