Public Safety is a nasty place to work. Turnover is high because they pay minimum wage 7.25 an hour but claim you can make up to $15.  The ones who make good sales are fed the "good lines". They suck up to the "management" who are self centered. The charities are MADE UP.  They may get 1% of the actual money. So basically you are begging for dollars trying to appeal to decent people's generosity. NEVER give money or pledges to telemarketers. Once you are on their list they put you on 12 other made up charity lists AND sell your info to other disreputable companies.  Ask them how much goes to the charity and listen to them squirm.

Public Safety offers NO benefits, they put you down for 30 hours a week so they don't have to provide any health insurance.  There are at least 80-100 employees there. You get NO holiday pay but they "let" you work overtime, if there is an available seat. Oh yes, if you come to work at 10 minutes before your shift and there are no seats/cubicles available they send you home without pay.  
They do NOT do back ground checks.  Most of the people there are felons or have other mental or health issues  like bipolarism, drug addiction, alcoholism, etc.

They send the same regulars home for being drunk or high on the job yet always let them come back.   The police are always arresting someone out in the parking lot every week...
There ARE some good people/employees there, but everyone is just out for themselves. I hope they shut the place down. If you work there, prepare to sell your soul to The Devil.  It's a dead end job.

The truth is no charity gives 100%.Even the popular United Way gives only 14% to an actual cause and the other 86% goes to administration costs.And yes,your job there is to raise money,so if you can't do your job they will fire you.Just like if you are a cashier who can't count you would get fired.

Public Saftey is legitimate.25+ Years in business  pay taxes and have employed thousands in Nashville.many of which couldn't  get hired elsewhere.pay is not greatest but it is a basic job.Telemarketing is tough in itsellf.They earn every penny.There are so many rude,ungrateful,arrogant people who  watch many hrs. Of commercials on TV but don't want to help their veteran's or fellow man and will use any excuse or lie to denigrate people who are helping others through donations.all fundraisers have overhead.all of them!!!!none give 100%.thank God for free enterprise!!!

There is no truth to this post whatsoever! There aren't police every week in the parking lot and employees do not show up drunk and on drugs everyday! The people who post these messages are obviously rejected employees who are just pointing the finger at someone else because they cannot blame their own selves for their failures! It is a sales job! IT IS DO OR DIE! SINK OR SWIM! The people who can sell succeed at Public Safety make good money and the people who cannot do not last very long. Get over it!

Not true..even when you make good sales they sometimes "forget" to put the money on your check because someone didnt do their job so you suffer. Police are always watching public safety because of drug dealing and other dumb stuff. They give your seat away because someone crts and whines that he wants it. Public Safety is shut down for good now because the attorney general is trying to get Todd!! Thankfully it's over with..working there was a nightmare
