A "public service announcement" about saving the world (turn your lights out, turn down thermostat, or something of the nature, etc.).  These "public service announcements" by using automated home phone calling schemes are Not the way to educate the public.  Especially if looney-tune Al Gore has anything to do with this.  I get these annoying calls and do the opposite of what they want.

called at 11:32 am.  I answered the phone and a recording played- was a male voice, said he was Eddie ____(something I couldn't catch) and was calling to say to use a ceiling fan to reduce the need for air conditioning and to keep energy bills down.  He said his was a public service message, and the recording ended.  There was no solicitation for anything, and no way to leave a message or opt out of future calls.  There was no company name that I noticed.  I am on the do not call list, and HATE getting recorded calls of any type.  This call will be reported to the national do not call registry.

I got yet another call from 616-597-4029.  Have called them back time and time again asking to be taken off their call list.  I think someone I dated and rejected put me on their list to harass me.  Oh well, it just confirms how right my intuition was.  I do turn off the lights and practice conservation.  At least the message they are leaving isn't pornographic!!

Did not pick up but caller ID was this 616 597 4029 number in Michigan. Other times I have picked up and got the prerecorded messaqe about saving energy, etc.
Wondering who is paying for this useless PSA?
