They call every day about once or twice a day... I just don't answer it. Sometimes they leave a recorded message, sometimes they don't. The message says don't forget to claim your free cruise. If I accidently do answer I pretend that I'm someone else and say that I don't live there but I still get calls. SOOOOO ANNOYING!

Calls all of the extensions in our office several times a day. Nobody is there when we answer. If it goes to voicemail it leaves a silent message. If we call the number it is always busy. (Hmm...I wonder why? I guess it has a lot of people to annoy!)Can't figure out how to make this go away.

Yes, Peter Griffin, many of us have heard of AND HAVE USED the Do Not Call Registry, but alas, my ignorant grasshopper that does NOT prevent these (and other) intrusive calls.

this area code is Michigan and the exchange is in Ionia. HOWEVER, before you get too excited the same website shows the number to be assigned to an internet service provider reseller. Hence this number, when used with VOIP can be located literally ANYWHERE.

(From circulationiii.com) You can call circulation promotions at 1-800-650-7183 to have your number removed from their call list. They are selling newspaper subscriptions.

I get calls every day from this annoying number and no one is there. They just hang up. Please help me figure out who this is!!!

AT LEAST once a day.  I don't see the point of the call if it is telemarketing.  I have heard of certain phone numbers that when you call them you rack up some un-Godly charges and that's the scam.  I don't call back in case it's one of those.

Of course, it could also be the people who maintain these web sites.  Complaint.com and sites like this one can gather enough information to apply leverage to a company or lawmaker with what we post.  Also if enough traffic is generated the ad space become valuable.

I might be paranoid but I'm only seeing complaints being registered... there are no responses.

Hangs up when I answer. Busy when I return the call.
