Phone rang and didn't recognize the number, nor would I answer it.  No message left.  The solicitors are REALLY calling people it seems more and more these days.  The Do Not Call list doesn't really help because MOST of the calls are non-profit, and I've heard the Do Not Call list doesn't apply to them.  Therefore, it doesn't do any good, so I try not to answer the phone if I feel it is a telemarketer.

Answering machine piked up. No message left, just noise like from a moving car.

Each time there is a lot of static noise on my answering machine. they call at least three times a month. Calling their number back you reach an answering machine but with no provisions for requesting to be put on their do not call list. I would like to be here when they call so I can tell them to stop calling.

I think that what this is, is a mechanism that calls to see what time you are normally home/pick up the phone, so that telemarketers can target you at that time of day. It's an automated service so no one is on the other end.  Thankfully for caller ID - I just don't pick up!

Man called and asked for James, I said he was not available and before I could say why they hung up.  They called back the next day and I said, you called yesterday but hung up before I could tell you that the person they were trying to reach died last year.  Silence....you could hear a pin drop and then an apology for calling.

They call every day never leave a message or reply when I answer

They call everyday. I am tired of the calls. I just pick up and hang up on them. They never leave a message.

Every time they call they ask for my husband and when I say he isn't here and ask who it is they hang up. Makes me so mad. Justice today though - I was just waiting for them to call back and of course they did. So I said right away stop calling my number take it off the list - you hang up everytime I ask who it is and I am sick of it. Take me off the list. I don't care who you are or what company you represent - don't hang up on people. NEVER answer the phone when they call.

I answered the call; it was a company named Xentel, Inc. soliciting funds for the Veterans Assistance Foundation (hence caller ID VAF). I asked to be removed from their list, and was passed to a supervisor who indicated that they would do exactly that.

Non-stop calling. We have told them to take us off the calling list but they won't listen. They call early in the morning Saturday. If we don't answer they call again early Sunday. If we don't get that, they keep calling all week. I work and my husband answers and tells them I'm not interested but they won't listen and keep calling when I'm not home. Therefore I can't tell them myself to stop calling.

They call our house at least three times every day.  I have sometimes picked up and they have been rude, when I say we are not interested.  They call every morning during the week and every evening at dinner time and they called once at 9 am on Sat. and Sunday, too.  I erase that static noise they leave on the ans. machine 1-2x daily.
