I received a call that began with a recorded message informing me that my name had been entered into a draw at a macy's, wal-mart, target or one of a couple of other American department stores that I do not remember.  The message went on to say that my name had been chosen and that I was the winner of a $2,600.00 Cancun vacation.  It also went on to say that I would be awarded a second $2,600.00 vacation for a guest if I responded right away.  I was instructed to press "1" for more information.  I pressed it and got a lady on the phone.  She asked if I wanted more information on their "promotion".  I told her that I had a few questions first.  I asked for her company name to which she replied "we are a message center".  I proceeded to ask which store my name had been drawn at.  Her response was "we don't make outgoing calls."  Obviously that had nothing to do with my question.  I repeated the question.  She stated that she did not know.  I then asked her when my name had been drawn.  Again she didn't know.  I asked her if she even knew my name, stating that, as the message had clearly indicated thay my specific name had been drawn, that she must know who she was speaking to.  She stated that she did not.  When I told her that I was in Canada and could not have entered a draw in an American store, the lady promptly and without warning put me on hold and then disconnected the call.  When I called back the number that had appeared on my call display, my call went directly to a recording that offered to remove my phone number from their calling list if I would only punch it in.  The company was never identified and the only option was entering my number into their "do not call" list.  I did a search on the internet and was able to determine that the number comes from Michigan, is classed as residential, and that the name attached to the number is unlisted.  The phone number the call came from is 616-597-4079.

I started receiving calls from this number but have been ignoring it because I don't answer calls from unfamiliar numbers- normally. Hubby told me that you can google a number to find out who it is, so I have as well as a few others that have been coming in on my caller ID. No msg.s ever left. No msg = not important. ION Mills and FSGG, and I think even 'Unknown' 705-669-1478 are probably all the same. But I looked them all up tonight and it seems like they COULD all be related. Seem to all be from Michigan. Anyways, they actually called me this evening at 8:36 PM! Totally illegal and rediculous. But this time, thinking it was too late for sales calls I answered it as I do have family all over. I answered kind of sternly just in case though- I got nothing but air space and background noise. There was someone there. They just didn't talk right away. I gave them about 10 seconds then I hung up.

This number came up as Q Million. lol wouldn't talk to my maching though

missed the call, but don't know the area code. thinking a telemarketer.
