Its laughable to hear 50 times in a row "this is your last chance to lower your credit card interest rate"!   The caller id phone is in the next room so I don't see the identity with each call before answering... I don't own a cell phone either.  The do not call list does not have an impact on stopping them.  I've gotten these calls for more than 5 years.  It ebbs and flows.  I would never respond with private info. at any time whatsoever.  I tend to ignore it  and delete the call or hang up immediately when no one answers rather than develop ulcers trying to stop them.  If it were 7 times a day like someone mentioned here, I'd get another phone number.

Calls from this number are daily.   Don't waste time for Do Not Call . It is a joke.

Waste of time going thru do not call registry!!!

Phuqheads using a Michigan area code.  Added to my 'ignore' list with 'silent' ringtone.  Any messages cleared once at the end of the day.

The do not call registry works very well --but only with legitimate businesses. The card service scammers are mainly drug-addicted felons out to rip us off, by fooling us into giving them our credit card numbers. Scummy criminals, such as these obey no laws. We need to alert others ,especially the elderly, of these lowlifes before they are cheated.

My daughter was about to play the recording of her ferocious pitbull growling and barking over the phone for these lowlifes who are a waste of oxygen when the morons hung up themselves after the 3rd ring, not getting the chance. Will keep the recording handy should these pieces of *hit call again.

You, and others need to understand that the drug-addicted card services scammers are not a legitimate business-- they just use a robodialer, that dials numbers in a sequential order, until they can find someone who will fall for their scam, and give them their credit card number, so they can rip them off. No amount of asking or begging will get us off these lowlife's calling list. The best thing to do is to not answer any number you're not familiar with, as these scummy creatures use hundreds of false numbers.

I have received several calls from this # they left a message saying something about a financial stimulus!  I tried to call the # but it goes back to a dial tone after about 20 seconds.  I want my # removed but not sure how to get a hold of a live rep!  FRUSTRATED

"YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER, AND I DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY THAT USES TELEMARKETING AS A FORM OF ADVERTISING" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.  Another comment from this web site says: When you press the number to have your number removed, all you do is confirm that your number is a working one.  Now I either block the numbers or I don't answer the phone at all.  Another comment was:  They sold your known active number to another scammer!!!  That is what they do when you call them back to opt out.  SO DON’T HAVE YOUR NUMBER REMOVED!

Let me explain my idea of ROBO CALLS. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP THESE SCAMMERS AND LAZY COLLECTION AGENCIES (statute of limitations on debt:  http://www.creditinfocenter.com/rebuild/statuteLimitations.shtml)  who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, DON'T ANSWER UNKNOWN CALLS, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  It’s a lot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller, and making my own excel spreadsheet of numbers) but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.

The Center for Investigative Reporting joined two news organizations in an investigation of groups that use telemarketers to raise money and they found is that most of the money is paid to telemarketers, leaving the charities with little, if anything. (3%)

Not only that reputable charitable organizations don't solicit donations by phone.

So it's good advice to remember to just say no to anyone who solicits over the phone unless you actually know the person calling.

BEWARE of this scammer. Tries to scare you saying it's a "final notice" -- but it's only a final notice to sell you something.  DON'T BE FOOLED!

My husband and I are in our 60's now.  We have learned not to use credit cards anymore and don't own any.  I do not answer the phone if I do not recognize the number.  This one came from area code 616 - we don't know anyone in this area code.

I do agree with you that these folk are scammers - hopefully the law of karma will get them!

If you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the FCC and FTC: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. If enough of us file and win, that should have an impact. What a great revenge, earning money FROM them! Information on their website says the FCC have shut down several of these scams.

Who are these people??

Bank Card Services or any company is breaking the law by using pre-recorded "robo-calls" to solicit business & or phish for your credit card information. The only way to stop this criminal activity is to file your number with the  National No-Call List and on your state no-call list. Being on the lists won't stop the criminal calls but will allow you to file a complaint. You can sign up online for free or by calling the FTC at 1-888-382-1222. I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission & the Texas Public Utilities Commission. If the FTC gets enough complaints they will file charges. You must take action or they will continue their criminal activity.

Got two calls at 9:15 AM. My wife is on disability . We do not need this harassment!
