- Nicole| 10 repliesI recieved a call from this number earlier today and just wanted to check it out. They called themselves "kids first" and that seems to be a for real company trying to do some good in the world. They are sending two free movies appropriate for families for us to watch and then give our opinion. No strings.

- AshleyThis call wasn't necessarily "unwanted" but I wanted to check it out. I think this company looks good. Not a scam. I will be getting 2 free movies to review and rate for a recommended viewing list for families. As a mother, I am always looking for positive entertainment for my children.

- Cindy| 5 repliesThese calles are coming on my cell phone. It's from a company called Kids First. They are a non-profit group so it is legal to call numbers on the do not call registry---including cell phones. They are trying to get a random sample for a clean entertainment list for kids.

- mjCall came in on my cell phone and "John" was nice enough so I stayed on the line. It's a non-profit organization promoting clean entertainment. I didn't agree to receive the free movies because I don'thave kids, but I did some research online and I hope they are successful with families.

- HannahCalled my cell. Asked them to call back later on landline and they agreed. Very polite and not pushy.
- Elizabeth| 1 replyThis call came on my cell which I don't give out, but the guy said they were just calling random numbers in our area and they are a non profit organization so the DNC rules do not apply. He promised and followed through with a very quick presentation. They just want to send 2 free movies to view and then rate for children and families. I agreed and then looked them up and found this website :www.kidsfirst.org It looks like a good cause.

- MarianneThis call came on my cell and when I asked how they got the number, they said they were just calling random numbers in the area and it's legal because they are a non-profit organization. Not selling anything. I agreed to receive 2 free family appropriate dvd's to keep. They would like my opinion about them later. They are creating a recommended viewing list of clean entertainment for kids and families.

- Olivia's momI received a call from this number and decided to check it out to be on the safe side. Found this website www.kidsfirst.org as well as www.smarttelevisionalliance.org. I think what they are doing is great and wish more people would take the time to listen and support them.

- anonCalled my cellphone from out of state which is registered on National and State Do Not Call lists. My state registry forbids out-of state marketers. National registry allows charities to call these numbers, but NOT ALL NON-PROFITS ARE CHARITIES! I filed a complaint. I do not support their cause or their abuse of people's lack of knowledge about the system.

- 617-245-9601Called on my cell phone. Telemarketing. Told them I had a do not call list number. They also called my brothers cell phone.
- LizI received a phone call on my CELL 617-245-9601 earlier this morning from someone named John. He said he was calling on behalf of the producers of Velveteen Rabbit and would I answer 3 quick questions. Trying to be nice, I said, sure. Well, his “questions” were really just a marketing technique for this movie. He talked incessantly and didn’t respond to a thing I said. I finally yelled to get his attention and told him to quit talking over me… good-bye.
I got in to work and decided to call that number back. Surprisingly, I got John… who sounded like the same guy. I told him how I felt about the call and that if Velveteen Rabbit was the ONLY movie in theaters I’d not go see it. And I won’t. This marketing technique is invasive and it cost ME money (cell minutes) to be marketed to. I’m not sure who is in charge of your marketing efforts, but calling someone’s cell phone (which is on a do not call list, by the way) is not a good way to get your message across.
As a Christian, I’m embarrassed for what was done in the name of your film.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Liz replies to ElizabethBy the way... DNC DOES apply to non-profits!
- TheresaThis person called and said it wasn't a telemarketing call and he wanted a few minutes of my time to take a survey. I was at work and the call was on my cell phone. This number is only given to family and friends and is on the 'NO Call List." In checking out this number I've found out that I'm not the only one they've called on the list.

- Dave| 2 repliesI don't really care how good a cause it is. I don't want to pay for random, illegal cell phone calls. I like apple pie, too, but not if you shove it down my throat without my permission.

- WebbieThis is BS...Virtually everyone of these entries are made up. Same person just trying to generate some positive reviews after they have pissed numerous people off.
