Its probably a legit survey but the caller does not identify himself. This is really unfortunate as I would have helped since I am a UMB graduate and my son was employed at the Survey Research Center as a student. Its a work-study job. They need better training.

No CID.  No msg. Odd to get a call late Sun. afternoon.  Didn't answer.

I answered which are usually do not do. They verified my address and then wanted my email which I refused to give and said they were conducting a survey about UMass alumni experiences I am blocking.

Also a UMass Grad. Also got a call at 8:05PM ECT (evening time call time) Did not pickup no Message.

caller identified himself from UMass Boston with Indian accent, hard to understand his English though. He asked me if I am graduated from UMass Boston? What do I think about the opportunity UMass gave me? Do I want to participate to support UMass alumni association? Do I want to provide credit card info to participate, to help future undergraduate students? I have received similar call twice, before was a women. I suspect it must be a SCAM.

Claims to be umass Boston surveying grads about their experiences. Brian. I said I do not do this and hung up. This time the call showed as unknown so I can not block. Dang!

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent stating he was from UMASS Boston and knew my first and last name. I am a graduate there but I don't trust giving any personal information over the phone. I told him it was not a good time to call. UMASS closes after 5, so it's suspicious getting a call at 6:30pm.

So this scammer has UMass grad's contact info. (I did spend some time over there 15 years ago)
It called me on Sunday afternoon around 6pm~7pm, I did pick up the call.
I will just block this number from my iphone.

UMASS grad; didn't answer.... They left empty message. Blocking number. Thank you to other commenters.

Just called me. Asked her how they got my tel # since I graduated in '90.  She suggested updating records. I told her I was ending call and then hung up. I can't figure out how they got my cell number. Calling UMass Boston tomorrow to get more info.

I'm a UMB grad. They called 3 times every 4 days at random times. Finally around 4pm on a Sunday I answered and the person asked for a close approximation of my maiden name so I denied it was me because it's not. Then they asked if I know that person and I said no. They say "I must have the wrong number."
Seems like this is a scam after reading all of these posts.

UMass alumni office. Usually they call looking for money or to update info.
