- fuzzyThis number reportedly belongs to Mireault Legal in Salem, MA. Don't know if they're a real firm or not, but in my opinion their methods certainly don't seem to be very ethical.

- sherman Bay| 1 replyRobo calls, supposedly from a law firm in MA. They make their money preying on innocents who are intimidated by their hardball tactics. Do not respond to these crooks. If they don't stop calling, contact your attorney and you might be able to win some money from them.

- I PAY MY BILLS| 2 repliesApparently all the above consumers or debtors don't pay their bills, so traditionally they look for any way of complaining or trying to state they are getting a harassment calls. When in fact they are getting a courtesy call reaching out from a Law Firm that has been retained to litigate, if applicable.
So basically, when you don't pay your bills eventually the bank or investment firm is going to ask for their money back that they borrowed. call me crazy but I would think the ethical thing to do would be to take advantage of the courtesy call and work out an arrangement so the case doesn't escalate. ?????
If you’re debating on whether you should pay a collection you owe, here are 5 benefits of getting rid of those collections for good.
1. ELIMINATE THE RISK OF BEING SUED
People assume that debt collectors won’t waste their time or money suing over a small collection. This assumption isn’t always true. As long as you have an outstanding collection that's still within the statute of limitations, you run the risk of being sued for what you owe. A lawsuit could lead to a court judgment, a public record that will also tarnish your credit report for seven years. And if you still don't pay up, the collector may get court permission to garnish your wages.
2. STOP COLLECTION CALLS FOR GOOD
As long as you have outstanding debt collections, you’ll probably be getting calls from debt collectors. A cease and desist letter may end calls from one particular debt collector. However, since collection accounts often change hands, you’ll keep being contacted about the debt until it’s taken care of or get sued!
3. GET APPROVED FOR CREDIT CARDS AND LOANS
4. IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT SCORE
5. YOU'RE CLOSER TO BEING DEBT-FREE- Caller: Mireault Law Group

- Spoting the snooty git replies to I PAY MY BILLSCould you get off the soap box preacher man? We need it for the soap. Many are talking about fraud phone calls, from foreign criminals, extorting money from Americans on fake loans that they do not owe. Please move along, nothing for you here.
- Steven ToryCollection agency, a law firm in Massachusetts, all robocalls. They call on Sundays and in the evenings. They call cellphones, residential lines and businesses, and do not respect the DNC list. They rarely leave messages. I have recorded over 100 calls in the last year from these crooks. They somehow think that they will get money from me by wearing me down. Fat chance.

- tarheelsfan1981Got a call from these guys yesterday stating i owed a debt from 6 yrs ago. picked up on several red flags during conversation like " Just go ahead & give me your credit card # or bank account and we'll get this settled". Really? I've never even heard from you guys & in 2 minutes I'm supposedd to give you access to my accounts. Kept wanting me to give him my ssn # for confirmation. Then they called back 1 hr later & asked again, " Give me your bank account # so we can settle this, its time sensitive."; and this was at 7pm est. I have worked very hard the last 2 yrs to repay ALL debts & thats why this caught me off guard as I have no knowledge of this debt. Please be very weary & do your homework when dealing with this company.

- DKGot a call from Mark Smith, and I'm definitely feeling better after hearing this is probably a scam, a few months ago i received a call from a debt collector about money i owed like over 7 years ago, but they wouldn't give me proof, that it was my job. When i brought up the statue of limitations in MO was 5 years that since I now lived it GA it was 6 and that since it was recently paid just less than 6 years ago, that it was still viable to be collected on. I know i don't owe money and even if i did the company owed won't get any of it. So I blocked the number (coz since then the amount can't be collected on legally). I doubt this has anything to do with it, but I looked up their site, albeit it "exists" clicking on the link takes you to a white screen. Today I got the call and the number is blocked. I won't be calling him back at all. And will be blocking the number he gave out. I think the fact that his name has changed from John Smith to Mark Smith is pretty obvious.
