I recieved the same message twice and they also contacted my 73 year old dad and freaked him out. on the second call I pressed 9 right away and I asked the person on the other end who was the attorney of record so I could put my attorney in touch with him or her and they just hung up on me and haven't called back in about 2 weeks now

Got the Civil Investigations Unit scam call.  Said the same scare tactic.  To call 5614027437.  Ref. # AQZ-4886. I knew it was a scam when they ended the call with a "Good Luck!"

Received the same Civil Investigation Unit message from 803-656-0787, I agree with terry, its nothing but a scare tactic.

the number that called me was 617-600-4177.  same message.  Freaked me out at first, then i thought theres no way..  A policeman would bring me this info, not a voicemail.  Wow.. people will go out of their way to scam others.  Wish there was a way to get them back

I just got one from 1-561-402-7437 very strange

I received a call from 803 656 0787 stating my son was involved in a civil suit involving a restraining order. I called Comal County and found no such suit. My daughter is an attorney and she feels it's a scam.

Got a call today myself, called them back and someone actually answered. They asked me for my phone number where I received the call. I gave them their case number and told them, u tell me,. I'm not telling u anything and gave them their case number again. They told me we'll see u in court and hung up.

I got the exact same message, pressed 8 like they said to talk to a "litigator" it rang than hung up.  So you if have charges are filed against you, especially for a restraining order, it usually has to be in the county you live in.  In my County that information is on line, also it has to be served to you in person. I got scared cuz I had it happened once where a false case was made against us and served to the wrong address, again it was in the computer.  My input it is a debt collector scam, especially from a number out of state.

210-544-5782   Received similar message using words like "civil suit" & "restraining order" and they gave a case number.  I looked up the area code and it was from Texas - San Antonio area.  I live in Ohio.  I will not be calling the number.  If someone in Texas wants to take out a restraining order on me, so be it.  I'm sure it is some sort of scam.

I just got a call for my son from the exact same number you did. Call arrive you said San Antonio, Texas.

I got a call from 803-656-0787 about a civil investigation unit & I had 24 to 48 hours to have my attorney call them back. I called back & was on hold for some time & I hung up.  I will admit I was shook up until I read all these posts!   Thanks for everyone who posted their experiences!  I hope they get caught real soon!

Just received one also while I was out at dinner with family on a Friday evening at 8:30pm. I probably turned white and pale at first and then instantly thought no this is [***]. They wouldn't call me on my cell phone this late on a Friday night from North. Caroline when Im in California! Again to add to the others comments, unless I see official documents, Im not doing anything. This world is crazy with scams and what not. They're probably hacking in to our phone as we call them back and connect to them. To add to that all the new iphones have finger prints that are already being hacked into on top of the government who is also tapping into us. Just sayin.

I got the same message on two separate occasions  but came from a different phone number 803 702 4043.
I called my phone company and had this number blocked: Hopefully this will end .

I received the same call from 561-409-5490.   No way could this be possible.  My sister said it has to be a scam and suggested I look it up online.  I found there are others receiving the same call.  Law suits and restraining orders aren't done over the phone.  Thanks everyone for posting your warnings for others.

I received a call with the same message.  It appeared as a restricted number but they told me to call them back at 647-600-4177.  Called the number back.  It never rings and it disconnects me after about three seconds.  I was initially worried  but if someone wants to collect some money, they would definitely give out working number!

The phone # was 561-202-1921.He said he was from "Capital Asset Locator".He told me I was being sued by my grand-daughter.And that I'd better get a lawyer within 24 hours.I am 82 years old.I"m on oxygen 24/7,I have emphysema.I cant have this,I'm too old.

as someone else said I called back,and was put on hold for more than 30 minutes.
